LCSW, 6 years of experience
I’m an energetic and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Connecticut, committed to helping individuals overcome challenges and thrive in daily life. I use a strength-based, client-centered approach to support clients in reaching their personal goals, whether it’s managing symptoms, reducing stress, navigating anxiety, or prioritizing self-care. I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) from Simmons University and bring over six years of experience working with diverse populations across a wide range of mental health concerns. My goal is to create a supportive, empowering space where clients feel heard, understood, and equipped to make meaningful and desired change. Whether you're beginning your therapy journey or looking for continued support, I'm here to walk with you—one step at a time.
In our first session together, we’ll begin with brief introductions to help you feel comfortable and set the tone for a supportive, collaborative environment. From there, we’ll explore the specific challenges you’re currently facing, your goals for therapy, and any relevant history you'd like to share. This initial conversation allows me to better understand your unique needs and begin creating a personalized plan that we’ll build on in future sessions. My goal is to make sure you feel heard, supported, and empowered from day one.
Having worked with a wide range of populations and diagnoses, I’ve developed a reliable, evidence-informed approach to help you (a) uncover the root causes of your challenges and (b) build a personalized plan that supports measurable, meaningful progress. My goal is to empower you with tools that not only address current concerns but also support long-term resilience and growth.
I love working with clients who are motivated to take an active role in their treatment. Therapy is most effective when it's a collaborative process, and I’m here to support, guide, and empower you every step of the way. I specialize in working with adults navigating anxiety, depression, mood disorders, life transitions, and a range of other mental health challenges. Whether you're facing a specific issue or just feeling stuck, I’m here to help you develop insight, build coping skills, and move toward meaningful change.
Assisting clients to develop a coping skill toolbox to independently change your own thinking, problematic emotions, or behavior.
Psychoeducation is the key to becoming our best selves. I incorporate psychoecuation into therapy session to empower clients to understand their specific diagnosis and the relationship it has between their thoughts, behaviors, and emotions.
When focusing on our strengths, we are able to experience an increase in self esteem, well being, and desirable outcomes. I utilize a strength based approach with all of my clients to empower them to be able to take the lead on their own lives.
