My approach is collaborative, personalized, and focused on empowering clients with the tools and confidence to manage life’s challenges. I work well with clients who may feel ambivalent about change but are open to support in making healthier, values-based decisions. I believe progress in therapy is built on a client’s motivation, readiness, and active engagement in the process. My approach emphasizes compassion, curiosity, and collaboration in helping clients find their own path forward.
In our first session, I’ll ask some routine questions to get to know you better and to understand what brings you to therapy. Together, we’ll begin identifying your goals and what you hope to gain from our work. My priority is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel comfortable sharing personal experiences at your own pace.My hope is that you leave our first session feeling heard, supported, and a little more grounded about the path ahead.
I believe that therapy is most effective when it feels like a genuine human connection — one where you can show up as your full self. I often use gentle humor as a way to connect with clients and to help ease some of the weight that can come with difficult topics. I also find that humor can be a meaningful tool in challenging the barriers that might stand in the way of your goals. In our sessions, I want you to feel a sense of ownership and control over your process, while I serve as a guide to help you navigate and reflect along the way.
