Hi, I'm Michael, the Owner and Founder of Black Swan Collective Interventions. I earned by Masters in Social Work from Fordham University and a degree in nursing from Goodwin University. Black Swan Collective Interventions is committed to enhancing the lives of individuals and families through effective evidenced-based individual and community interventions.

Integrating Social Work and Nursing Interventions allows me to help clients understand the connection between their mental health barriers and what their bodies are telling them.

First session

In the first session, you cab expect questions that help us understand your reason for seeking treatment, and a little about yourself to help us understand where you are mentally, physically and socially.

Strengths

Integrating Social Work and Nursing Interventions allows me to help clients understand the connection between their mental health barriers and what their bodies are telling them.

Ideal clients

Anyone that needs help understanding themselves and willing to search outside of the box to becomed healthier. Being vulnerable, building trust is a two way street. We are all unique and different in our make up. Having the courage to be your unique self and open up to a therapist is a huge miletone - it can be a life changer.

Origin story

What most inspired me to become a therapist was the realization that my path had already been chosen. All I had to do was walk through the door. In other words - from a spiriitual perspective - the path I found myself on was one that allowed me to question norms, understand myself and others, which includes understanding our pain and giving ourselves the permission and space to heal.

Ongoing work together

Ongoing session will focus on the treatment plan we build together which includes your personal goals and objectives

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Many of us become stuck as we have narratives iin place about ourselves that may be a result of distorted thinking. CBT allows us question the narratives and replace negative ones with healhier ones, which in turn can remove stress, anger, anxiety and depression.
