I maintained a private practice in Ventura, CA for about 35 years as a marriage and family therapist and i worked with children, teenagers, adults and couples. About 8 years ago my wife and i moved to Oakland, Ca to be closer to our adult children and our two granddaughters. For the past five years i have volunteered at City Team, Oakland which is a residential placement for men with anger and addiction problems, I wrote the book that i am using to teach the men at City Team and i have self published six other books on parenting, marriage and personal issues; a couple of titles are "Dragon Slaying for Parents (and Couples)" , "The Lost Aspect of Love (sympathy)", "Winning at a Losing Game" and "The First Pictorial Self-Help Book for Men Who Do Not Read". I have conducted hundreds of seminars on parenting, marriage and personal issues. I obtained a masters degree in Petroleum Engineering at UC Berkeley, and worked for Shell Company for five years; not wanting my epitaph to read that i made 10 billion dollars for an oil company and returned to school to obtain a Masters Degree in Counseling. I was a School Psychologist for a school district for five years then opened up my private practice. This experience has proven to be very valuable in counseling with adults,

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, my license is LCSW #128274. I hold a Master of Social Work and a Doctor of Social Work from the University of Southern California. I became a therapist because I’ve always wanted to help people through tough times. I saw friends and family struggle with anxiety and loss, and I realized a kind, steady presence can make a difference. So, I studied social work, got my license, and learned tools like cognitive therapy and DBT to support folks with depression, trauma, or stress. Now, I’m here to listen and walk with you, simple as that. I’m looking forward to hearing from you as we go. My focus is on supporting people through depression, anxiety, trauma, and life’s tough stressors. I’m here to walk alongside you, and I’m looking forward to hearing your thoughts as we go. I might nudge you to notice what’s working, using a strength-based lens, or help you reframe a stuck thought with cognitive tools. If emotions run high, we’ll use DBT to ride the wave, or ACT to find peace with what’s hard. It’s practical yet heartfelt, like we’re building a toolkit together, tailored to you while honoring your pace. You’ll leave feeling a little lighter, a little more hopeful, and never alone in it.

I’m so glad you’re here. My name is Sierra, and I am a California-based licensed Psychologist with over 10 years of clinical experience supporting adults as they navigate life's challenges. My passion is helping people not only understand themselves more deeply, but also make lasting positive changes. I take a holistic approach to therapy that supports the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. This often includes strategies such as nervous system education, mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR), somatic healing, and when helpful, collaboration with integrative providers like nutritionists. I also draw from additional evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Therapy, while paying close attention to how stress or trauma may show up in the body. In our work together, we’ll create a personalized plan that blends insight, practical tools, and meaningful action. My goal is to provide a space where you feel truly seen and supported, and where therapy becomes not just about coping with challenges, but about moving toward the life you most want to live.

You've tried the planners, the apps, the systems everyone swears by. You've downloaded the productivity apps, bought the color-coded notebooks, set seventeen alarms. And you're still here, exhausted, wondering why nothing sticks the way it's supposed to.I'm Jess — a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and someone who also has ADHD. I didn't learn about this diagnosis from a textbook and then practice applying it to other people. I live it. I know what it feels like to have a brilliant idea at 11pm and absolutely no ability to execute it at 9am. I know the shame spiral that follows a missed deadline, a forgotten commitment, or another abandoned system. And I know that the problem was never effort or intelligence — it was always the mismatch between your brain and the world's expectations of it.I specialize in working with adults with ADHD who are ready to stop white-knuckling their way through life and start building something that actually fits. My approach is direct, practical, neurodivergent-affirming, and grounded in evidence-based methods — adapted specifically for how ADHD brains actually work, not how they're supposed to. No fluff. No vague advice. Just real work, built around your real brain.

Therapy for High-Functioning Adults Navigating ADHD, Trauma, Anxiety, and Relationship Distress You may appear capable, accomplished, and composed while privately feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or unable to quiet your mind. Perhaps you are successful in many areas of life but struggle with anxiety, ADHD-related difficulties, trauma responses, relationship conflict, or a persistent sense that you are not functioning as well as others believe. I work with high-functioning adults and couples who are insightful and motivated but continue to feel stuck in patterns they cannot simply think their way out of. You may understand why you react the way you do and still find yourself becoming anxious, shutting down, overthinking, procrastinating, losing focus, becoming emotionally flooded, or repeating the same painful relationship dynamics. Who I Help I work with adults experiencing: ADHD, executive-functioning difficulties, procrastination, and emotional overwhelm Anxiety, perfectionism, overthinking, and chronic self-pressure PTSD, developmental trauma, and unresolved childhood experiences Relationship anxiety, attachment wounds, and fear of abandonment Emotional disconnection, burnout, and difficulty identifying personal needs Family expectations, cultural pressures, and people-pleasing Major life, career, or identity transitions I also work with couples who may care deeply for one another but feel caught in recurring cycles of conflict, defensiveness, withdrawal, resentment, or emotional distance. Couples therapy can help you understand the pattern underneath the argument, communicate more safely, and rebuild trust and emotional connection.

I’m Dr. Claudia Nuñez a licensed clinical psychologist with over a decade of experience supporting adults through anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and major life transitions. I believe therapy is not about reliving pain for its own sake. It is about understanding what your suffering has been signaling and bringing that understanding into the present so you can live with more clarity, self-compassion, and choice. Many of the people I work with feel caught in anxiety and overthinking, people pleasing, guilt, burnout, or a deep sense that something needs to change but they cannot quite name what. Others are moving through grief or life transitions that have shaken their identity, relationships, or sense of direction. Some are navigating a spiritual calling or values shift, and feeling both pulled toward meaning and exhausted by the weight of it all. My approach is integrative, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and grounded in Internal Family Systems and liberation psychology. Rather than viewing symptoms or recurring patterns as personal flaws, we explore them with curiosity and consider how they may have been shaped by your history, relationships, culture, environment, and ways of adapting. Together, we identify what is no longer serving you, clarify what you need now, and develop responses that feel more intentional, sustainable, and aligned with your values. Alongside talk therapy, I may incorporate mindfulness, somatic awareness, narrative exploration, and evidence-informed cognitive and behavioral strategies. Grounding and breath practices are offered collaboratively and adapted to your comfort—not to bypass pain or minimize the realities around you, but to help you remain present and build greater capacity for choice. My style is warm, honest, and collaborative. We move at a pace that respects your boundaries while supporting meaningful reflection and change.

I am a down-to-earth and collaborative therapist who believes that the foundation of effective healing is a genuine, honest connection. I prioritize creating a transparent environment where you feel heard and respected, allowing us to work as true partners in your mental health journey. My approach is grounded in the belief that therapy is most effective when it is practical, straightforward, and focused on your unique reality. In our sessions, I value honesty and the identification of healthy, realistic goals. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), where we work together to uncover the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. By identifying irrational thinking patterns and challenging negative self-talk, we can begin to reframe your narrative in a way that serves your growth rather than hindering it. I understand that starting therapy can feel like a significant step, which is why I focus on providing a non-judgmental space where we can tackle challenges at your pace. Whether you are dealing with anxiety, daily stress, or life transitions, my goal is to provide you with a functional toolkit of strategies you can use long after our sessions end. Hi, I’m so glad you’re here. Reaching out for support—whether for yourself or your child—can feel overwhelming. My hope is that from the very first conversation, you feel heard, understood, and not alone. For more than 12 years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting adolescents, women, and families as they navigate some of life’s most tender and challenging seasons. I specialize in adolescent mental health and maternal mental health, working with teens facing stress, school pressure, anger, friendship struggles, and identity development, as well as women moving through pregnancy, postpartum changes, motherhood transitions, and shifting family roles. The teenage years and the journey into motherhood both bring profound change. They can be beautiful—and also exhausting, confusing, and isolating. I strive to create a space where clients can show up exactly as they are: overwhelmed, uncertain, frustrated, hopeful, or all of the above. You don’t have to have the “right words.” You just have to show up. Before becoming a counselor, I spent many years as a Division I athlete and coach. Those experiences gave me a deep understanding of pressure, performance expectations, resilience, and what it feels like to carry the weight of high standards—whether they come from others or from within. I connect especially well with teens who are driven, competitive, sensitive, or feel misunderstood, and with mothers who are juggling more than anyone sees. I earned my bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Riverside, my master’s degree from the University at Buffalo in New York, and completed my counseling credential at California State University, San Bernardino. While my education provided the clinical tools to do this work, the greatest lessons have come from the adolescents and mothers who have trusted me with their stories.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a strong foundation in both community development and clinical practice, allowing me to bring a comprehensive, systems-informed perspective to my work with individuals and professionals. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Community and Regional Development from UC Davis in 2007, where I developed a deep understanding of how environments, systems, and relationships shape overall well-being. I went on to complete my Master’s in Social Work at Sacramento State University in 2010. My career in social work has provided me with diverse and extensive experience, including supporting individuals through acute psychiatric and medical hospitalizations, working with trauma, navigating complex systems, and serving youth and families involved in foster care. I began my clinical practice in 2019, where I transitioned into providing direct therapy and further developing my therapeutic approach. Over time, I have expanded my role to include clinical supervision, mentoring and supporting associate clinicians as they grow their skills and professional identity. In my work with clients, I take a practical, collaborative approach, helping individuals navigate anxiety, stress, life transitions, and executive functioning challenges. I am committed to creating a supportive and empowering space where meaningful, sustainable growth can occur, while also contributing to the development of thoughtful, ethical clinicians in the field.

Hello ! I am Sergio Fernando Gueller, LCSW, I am an American citizen and love our Blessed country with all my heart; I am also an immigrant from Latin America, Argentina, who arrived to this country at age 19 (I am currently 65), "tired and poor" and escaping an unstable political environment and difficult socioeconomic perspectives. I completed my training in Europe and Latin America through my participation in many seminars and obtaining several certifications in this field, however, all my formal education took place in California and Oregon, in the USA. My approach to psychotherapy is eclectic and practical and am focused on providing immediate alleviation and crisis resolution to my clients via powerful cognitive/behavioral tools which I use daily in my practice. I am a simple person and my approach is formal and respectful, however, I use respectful/sensitive humor and levity therapeutically when appropriate as I believe it is a major part of my method.

I have been in the psychology field for over 20 years now. I love what I do and helping every client become successful. The relationship between the client(s) and myself is important in achieving the goals we set together. How our past experiences have influenced our current lives is a key issue. I feel that support systems in our daily lives are important to examine. The issues of separation, loss, freedom, dependence and independence are crucial to examine as one leaves home and parental influences. I work with individuals, couples, teens and families. Every session is different because every client is different, as are their problems. I'll encourage you to talk and explore, in a structured way, your feelings and experiences. Whatever the technique or clinical approach, psychotherapy is not a magical cure, it is a process to help you find the capacity for improvement within yourself. Psychotherapy aims to help you gain insight into your difficulties or distress and enable you to find more appropriate ways of coping or bring about changes in your thinking and behavior. Psychotherapy involves exploring feelings, beliefs, thoughts and events, sometimes from childhood, in a structured way to help you do it safely. I have a website that has 16 courses on it for you to do self paced sessions. I also have book I wrote on that website. Choosing to begin therapy is a courageous step. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California, I provide a compassionate, grounded space where individuals and couples can explore challenges, heal from past wounds, and move toward meaningful change. I work with adults and couples navigating anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, life transitions, faith, and trauma. My approach is relational and collaborative — I believe healing happens within safe, attuned connections. Together, we’ll work to understand patterns that may be keeping you stuck, while building practical tools to support emotional regulation, communication, and self-understanding. My work is informed by person-centered, cognitive behavioral, and attachment-based frameworks. I also integrate trauma-informed, psychodynamic, and existential perspectives, helping clients explore identity, purpose, and the deeper narratives shaping their lives. I obtained a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. I have a background in behavioral therapy and have worked in several different settings including school, group settings, residential facilities, and private practice. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply seeking clarity, therapy can be a place to slow down and reconnect with yourself. My role is not to “fix” you, but to walk alongside you as you strengthen resilience, deepen insight, and move toward the life and relationships you want with yourself and others. I welcome clients from diverse cultural, spiritual, and relational backgrounds, and I am committed to creating an inclusive, affirming therapeutic environment. If you're ready to begin, I’d be honored to support you.

Hello I'm Sonja — a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor based in California. My path to this work wasn't a straight line and I think that makes me a better clinician. I started with a career in corrections in Arkansas, where I learned early on how to connect with people in difficult circumstances without judgment. That experience shaped how I show up in the therapy room to this day. I transitioned into mental health as a psychiatric technician, working directly with all age groups across inpatient and community settings; providing direct care, facilitating group therapy, and delivering individual therapy during my internship and later as a registered clinician with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. By the time I became fully licensed, I had accumulated nearly a decade of real-world clinical experience across some of the most demanding settings in behavioral health..
