Hi! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based out of California. I have a Masters Degree from the University of Southern California and a Bachelors degree in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Hello and welcome! My name is Shakira De Abreu. I’m a warm, real, and compassionate therapist who believes you shouldn’t have to figure everything out alone. I listen without judgment, meet you where you are, and bring both empathy and honesty to the work. Together, we’ll make sense of what you’re experiencing and find a path forward.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California with extensive experience supporting youth in schools, foster teens, and young adults. In recent years, my practice has centered on helping young adults navigate the emotional and psychological barriers that stand in the way of their educational and career goals.
My work is grounded in evidence-based practice and individualized, client-centered care. I aim to create a supportive, compassionate space where clients feel truly understood and empowered to tackle life’s challenges.
My clinical approach emphasizes building self-esteem, managing anxiety, and fostering the motivation needed to achieve personal milestones. Using a nonjudgmental, down-to-earth approach, I help clients feel safe enough to engage in deep, honest work—identifying past trauma and unlearning negative patterns that contribute to emotional or physical distress. Ultimately, my goal is to guide clients toward a healthier, more grounded, and fulfilling life.
I am an LCSW (License Clinical Social Worker) with over 19 years of experience in the field of mental health and I have been licensed since 2010. I have worked in crisis behavioral health hospitals with both adults and adolescents, outpatient community mental health clinics and in hospice. I have also worked at the University of Michigan counseling center with undergraduate and graduate students. I have extensive experience in relationship/communication issues, trauma work, infertility and miscarriage counseling, parenting, grief work, life transitions, depression and anxiety. I studied social work at the University of Michigan and completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Washington.

My motto in life is, life is about making positive movements forward.

I believe that meaningful change happens when clients feel safe, supported, and genuinely understood. My goal is to help you build resilience, improve emotional well-being, strengthen relationships, and gain confidence in navigating life's challenges—one step at a time.
You don't have to face life's challenges alone. I look forward to supporting you on your journey toward healing, balance, and lasting well-being.
I believe therapy should be a place where you feel understood, supported, and challenged to grow. I take a warm, collaborative, and evidence-based approach, helping clients develop practical skills that create lasting change rather than temporary relief. Together, we will address the root of what it is that you are experiencing. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, life transitions, or feeling stuck, we'll work together to understand what's keeping you there and build a plan that helps you move forward with confidence.

Do you overthink, replay conversations, revisit past decisions, predict problems, spiral, or get stuck in patterns that create conflict or keep you avoiding what needs to be addressed?
You are thoughtful, observant, and more capable than you may currently feel. But the same mind that notices details, thinks ahead, and considers different possibilities can go into overdrive. You may feel on edge much of the time, dwell on the past, get irritated by small things, feel flat, or disconnect from things you once enjoyed. You may be going through this on your own or in a relationship with someone dealing with some of the same things.
You may avoid difficult conversations, put off issues, or end up in the same conflict. Shame, fear of rejection, or trouble communicating can make it difficult to say what you really think or need. We can work on skills to communicate better, explore the expectations you bring to relationships, and recognize roles and patterns you keep replaying. Those roles may have served you long ago, but they may need revision now.
I am Ramy Danon, a USC-trained Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with more than 20 years of experience. Therapy with me is a real conversation. I listen carefully, ask questions, and tell you honestly what I see. I work with men, women, and couples, and I adapt the work to what is really bothering you and what you actually want to address.
I also taught university and college students for 19 years. I love helping people recognize their abilities and expand what they believe is possible. I understand how difficult it can be to trust someone, especially if you struggle to ask for help. Getting started may be the hardest part. I am eager to learn about what is bothering you.

I believe healing is hidden in the stories we share. I'm Anthony Garcia, LMFT, a trauma-focused therapist trained in EMDR who helps adults navigate anxiety, trauma, grief, and life's most challenging transitions. By helping clients explore the experiences that shaped them and uncover the patterns that keep them feeling stuck, I help them find relief from emotional distress and begin writing a new chapter grounded in resilience, meaning, and hope.
Hi there, I’m Michelle,
Have you not felt like yourself lately? Are you struggling to find that happy, healthy, hopeful place in life? Whether it be from relationships, personal, or just life, sometimes we can just feel overwhelmed and out of sync with who we were or who we would like to become.
I am here to help facilitate that change. Together we can target the obstacles in your life and make a plan of action to put you on the right path. By using an integrative approach with effective therapeutic modalities we focus on the whole being to get you in balance.
My style is eclectic utilizing an empathetic position to build rapport while empowering you to become the stronger happier version of self. I combine affirmations and metaphoric narrative to separate you from the problem, allowing you to externalize the issues rather than internalize them.
I will meet you right where you are and provide a safe place for you to thrive and move forward.
“If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.” ~Martin Luther King Jr.

Hi there and great job on taking that first step in considering if therapy is right for you. I invite you to come with me on a journey of your own choosing where we will walk together in darkness to find the light you’ve been seeking. Whether it’s life’s little annoying stressors or more complex issues, as a trauma survivor myself, I know firsthand what this is like and wouldn’t wish it on anyone. Whether you choose me or another therapist, make the choice to just give it a try. Sometimes all you need is another person to hold the light while you do the work you need to heal.

Hi there, I am Joanna
Have you ever gone to therapy and found it hard to open up because the sessions appear rigid and impersonal, and maybe you felt judged? In my practice is my goal to lead sessions in a non-judgmental way, with the belief that clients are the experts in their own lives. I like to describe my relationship with clients as a relationship among equals. My role in the session is to help you process some of the challenges you are experiencing and offer skills that can help create the change you want to see in your life. My theoretical orientation is dialectical behavioral therapy and I try to hold the balance between acceptance and change, this means accepting that although things might be difficult at this moment we can learn new behaviors so life can be improved. My goal is to help clients increase their overall satisfaction in life and relationships. I am also trained in trauma work to help clients process traumatic experiences.
Hi! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. My approach to therapy honors your individuality to support your unique journey towards exploring, growing, and healing. I've dedicated my career to helping people understand themselves more deeply, heal from difficult experiences, and create meaningful change in their lives. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling stuck, overwhelmed, anxious, or disconnected from themselves--often after spending years trying to simply push through or “fix” what they're experiencing. Together, we'll slow down and explore your inner world with curiosity and without judgment so you can better understand yourself, reconnect with what you need, and move through life with greater clarity, peace, and intention.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience supporting individuals with complex and high acuity mental health needs. My work is grounded in trauma informed and trauma responsive care, with a strong commitment to creating inclusive, affirming spaces for BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent clients, and individuals in rural communities. I work across the lifespan, including children (7+), adults, older adults, families, and couples.
My approach is collaborative and empowering, centered on the belief that clients are the experts in their own lives and require my clinical expertise. I often describe my role as “working myself out of a job” to help clients build the insight, skills, and confidence needed to advocate for themselves and navigate systems independently. As a trauma specialist, I tailor evidence based interventions to each client’s identities, needs, strengths, and goals. My primary approaches include Somatic Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)-(EMDRIA certification pending), Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and psychodynamic therapy. I also integrate Internal Family Systems informed interventions, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, exposure based strategies, mindfulness, and other approaches as clinically appropriate. I adapt treatment for neurodivergent clients and clients with intellectual or developmental disabilities because therapy should adjust to the person and not require the person to adjust to therapy.
I am continually shaped by the courage, insight, and lived experiences clients bring into our work. Every advanced training, specialty, certification, and state license reflect lessons learned from clients. I carry their trust, stories, and influence into every session with gratitude and responsibility.
