New to Grow
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with over 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families in a variety of settings. For the first 14 years of my career, I specialized in working with children, and I have since expanded my practice to also include adults. I currently serve clients ages 12–65. I also bring experience in life coaching and parenting training, which supports my work in helping clients and families build practical skills, improve relationships, and create meaningful change.
In our first session, we will complete an intake assessment and gather important background information. We’ll also spend time introducing ourselves and getting to know you, your concerns, and what you hope to work on in therapy. This session helps set the foundation for a focused and personalized treatment plan moving forward.
My greatest strengths include building strong rapport with clients and creating a supportive, trusting therapeutic relationship. I have a high success rate of clients completing treatment and a strong retention rate, reflecting consistent engagement and progress. My approach is structured, practical, and focused on helping clients achieve meaningful, lasting results.
I’m best positioned to work with clients ages 12–65 who are motivated for change and open to a direct, structured approach. I work well with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, and relationship challenges. My ideal clients are willing to be honest, engage in the process, and take accountability while learning practical skills. I focus on helping clients build coping strategies, improve emotional regulation, and make meaningful, goal-oriented progress both in and outside of sessions.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and change unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors. In my practice, I use CBT in a structured, goal-oriented way teaching practical skills like reframing negative thoughts, building coping strategies, and applying techniques between sessions to support real life change.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I have experience using Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients identify strengths and build on what’s already working. In my practice, I focus on setting clear, achievable goals and using practical strategies to create meaningful change in a short period of time.
Strength-Based
I have experience using a strength-based approach to help clients recognize and build on their existing abilities and resilience. In my practice, I focus on highlighting strengths, reinforcing what’s working, and using those assets to support growth and positive change.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I have experience using Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients build skills in emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. In my practice, I take a candid, straightforward, no-nonsense approach—focusing on effective strategies, clear feedback, and accountability while supporting clients in making meaningful, lasting changes.
