New to Grow
Hi, I'm Alyssa. I believe therapy works best when people feel genuinely seen, supported, and accepted. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in curiosity rather than judgment. I enjoy helping people better understand themselves, navigate life's challenges, and create healthier patterns in their relationships. Whether you're facing a difficult season or seeking personal growth, I strive to provide a space where you can feel safe, supported, and empowered to make meaningful change.
We'll spend time getting to know one another and discussing what brings you to therapy. I'll ask questions about your current concerns, relevant life experiences, relationships, and goals for treatment. This session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and determine whether I feel like a good fit for your needs. Together, we'll begin identifying priorities and creating a plan for the work ahead.
One of my greatest strengths is helping people connect the dots between their past experiences, current challenges, and relationship patterns in a way that feels insightful and empowering. I balance warmth and compassion with honest, thoughtful feedback, helping people gain deeper self-awareness while also developing practical tools for change. My goal is to create a supportive space where people feel understood, challenged, and capable of making meaningful progress.
I work with people who are ready to break unhealthy patterns, heal from past experiences, build self-trust, and create healthier relationships. Many are navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, self-esteem concerns, or feeling stuck in the same cycles despite their best efforts. I especially enjoy working with individuals who are curious about themselves, motivated for growth, and looking to create lasting change in their lives and relationships.

Christian Counseling
For clients who desire it, I can integrate faith and values into the counseling process in a way that feels authentic, supportive, and respectful of each person's unique beliefs and experiences. This may include exploring how faith influences meaning, relationships, personal growth, and healing while incorporating evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
Psychodynamic
I use a psychodynamic approach to help people gain deeper insight into the patterns, experiences, and relationships that may be influencing their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. By exploring both past and present experiences, people can develop greater self-awareness, better understand recurring challenges, and create lasting change in the way they relate to themselves and others.
