New to Grow
Hello, I'm glad you're here. My name is Maria and I am a licensed clinical therapist. I have a compassionate and collaborative approach and am dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity, resilience, and self-understanding. I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore anxiety, depression, stress, relationship concerns, trauma, life transitions, and personal growth at their own pace. My approach is grounded in evidence-based practices while recognizing that every person’s story and needs are unique. I integrate modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, strengths-based therapy, and trauma-informed care to support meaningful and lasting change. I believe therapy works best when clients feel safe, heard, and empowered throughout the process. Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, but you don’t have to navigate things alone. I look forward to walking alongside you in your journey toward healing and balance.
Starting therapy can bring up a mix of emotions — curiosity, hope, nervousness, or uncertainty. Your first session is designed to help you feel comfortable and explore what brings you to therapy. During the first appointment, we'll establish goals for therapy and discuss any current concerns. You are always encouraged to share at your own pace, and there is no pressure to discuss anything before you feel ready.
What sets me apart as a therapist is my ability to meet clients where they are while thoughtfully identifying both formal and informal sources of support that can strengthen their healing process. I recognize that growth does not happen in isolation, and when appropriate, I help clients connect with personal supports, community resources, and therapeutic tools that align with their unique needs and circumstances. I view therapy as a collaborative journey where I walk alongside clients as they navigate life’s stressors, transitions, and challenges. My approach is compassionate, supportive, and grounded in curiosity. Through thoughtful and reflective questions, I help clients deepen their understanding of themselves, recognize patterns, build insight, and develop practical ways to move through difficulties with greater confidence and resilience.
I primarily work with adults navigating symptoms of anxiety and depression who may feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, disconnected, or stuck in patterns that no longer feel sustainable. Many of the individuals I work with are managing ongoing stress, difficult life transitions, relationship challenges, burnout, or a growing sense that the way they have been coping is no longer supporting the life they want to live. My ideal client is someone who has begun to recognize that their current circumstances, habits, or emotional patterns are no longer working for them and is open to exploring something different. They may not have all the answers yet, but they are willing to deepen their understanding of themselves, examine the underlying factors contributing to their struggles, and begin moving toward meaningful change.
