Margarita Danielyan
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I provide a supportive, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where individuals, couples, and families can explore challenges, strengthen relationships, and work toward meaningful change. My approach is grounded in the belief that each person brings unique experiences, strengths, and perspectives to the therapeutic process. Together, we can identify patterns that may be creating difficulties, develop healthier ways of communicating and coping, and build greater self-awareness and connection. I strive to create a collaborative therapeutic relationship that honors each client’s goals, values, and individual journey. utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help you identify irrational thoughts and replace them with rational ones, developing tools to control your emotions, behaviors, and thoughts. Based on your unique needs, I may incorporate solution-focused, mindfulness, and psychodynamic techniques to address underlying challenges.
First session
During the first session, clients can expect a welcoming and supportive space where they can begin to share their story, concerns, and what brought them to therapy. We will take time to get to know one another, discuss what they hope to accomplish through therapy, and explore the challenges and strengths that are important to their journey. Clients will also have an opportunity to ask questions about the therapeutic process and determine whether we are a good fit for working together. My goal is for clients to leave their first session feeling heard, understood, and hopeful, with a clearer sense of direction and an initial plan for moving forward.
Strengths
I bring warmth, empathy, patience, and genuine curiosity into each therapy session. I strive to create a safe and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and comfortable being their authentic selves. I bring strong listening and communication skills, along with the ability to recognize patterns and perspectives that may be difficult to see on one’s own. I approach each client with compassion and cultural humility, while tailoring therapy to their individual needs, strengths, values, and goals. Most importantly, I believe in meeting clients where they are and walking alongside them as they navigate challenges, build resilience, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful change.
Ideal clients
My ideal client is someone who is ready to better understand themselves, their relationships, and the patterns that may be keeping them from experiencing the life they desire. I enjoy working with individuals, couples who may be navigating relationship challenges, life transitions, communication difficulties, emotional struggles, or a desire for personal growth. I welcome clients from diverse backgrounds and recognize that beginning therapy can take courage and vulnerability. My goal is to meet each person where they are, provide a safe and supportive space, and collaborate with them to identify their goals, build on their strengths, and create meaningful and lasting change.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) because I believe that our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are closely connected and can significantly influence how we experience ourselves, our relationships, and the world around us. CBT provides clients with practical tools to recognize unhelpful patterns, develop more balanced ways of thinking, manage difficult emotions, and make intentional changes in their behaviors. I appreciate that CBT is collaborative, goal-oriented, and focused on helping clients develop skills they can use both in and outside of therapy. My goal is not simply to help clients understand what they are experiencing, but to empower them with practical strategies that support lasting growth, healthier relationships, and greater confidence in navigating life’s challenges.
