LICSW, 23 years of experience
New to Grow
I have always been invested in supporting people, and this commitment has led me to work in a variety of settings, including inpatient and outpatient mental health, court-based, and school-based environments. I received my Masters in Social Work from Howard University and my Masters in Forensic Psychology from Marymount University. I have practiced in New York, Washington, DC and Florida.
Our first session will include completing any necessary paperwork, and getting to know each other. We will discuss what has brought you to therapy and begin to set goals.
I create a safe, nonjudgmental environment. I haves practiced for over 20 years and supported a wide range of clients in various walks of life. I bring the ability to tailor a plan the meets the need of each individual.
I enjoy working with women, adolescents, and children. I am especially invested in supporting people who may be experiencing challenges around life transitions, divorce or changes in family structure and issues of grief.
I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) into my practice to help clients achieve their goals and navigate life’s challenges. I utilize CBT to assist clients in understanding the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. By addressing negative thought patterns and developing healthier coping strategies, I hope to empower clients to make meaningful changes in their lives.
