My goal is to meet clients where they are and walk alongside them as they navigate life's challenges, transitions, and personal growth. I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, adjustment to life changes, relationship concerns, grief and loss, and the stress that can come with major transitions. My approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I use these evidence-based approaches to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while developing practical skills to manage stress, regulate emotions, and navigate difficult situations more effectively. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes. Whether you are facing a major life transition, feeling overwhelmed by anxiety or depression, struggling in relationships, or simply seeking greater balance and fulfillment, I am committed to helping you build on your strengths and move toward the life you want to create.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and determine how I can best support you. During our initial session, we'll discuss what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, and any challenges you may be experiencing. I'll ask questions about your personal history, relationships, work or school life, and other areas that may be impacting your well-being. We'll also talk about your goals for therapy and what you hope to achieve. Whether you're seeking support for anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship concerns, grief, or personal growth, we'll work together to develop a plan that aligns with your needs and priorities. Most importantly, the first session is a chance for you to ask questions and determine whether you feel comfortable working with me. There is no expectation to share everything during the first session and we will move at a pace that feels most comfortable for you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

With over nine years of experience working in mental health hospitals, medical hospitals, and counseling settings, I have had the privilege of supporting individuals through a wide range of emotional, personal, and life challenges. One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is creating a warm, safe, and welcoming environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves and expressing their thoughts and emotions without fear of judgment. I believe that each person is the expert on their own life. My role is not to tell you what to do, but to provide support, understanding, and a space for exploration and growth. I meet clients where they are, honoring their unique experiences and personal pace. While I do not push or pressure clients, I am happy to offer insight, feedback, and guidance when it is desired and helpful. My goal is to walk alongside you as you navigate challenges, discover your strengths, and work toward meaningful and lasting change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Young adults and adults who are navigating life's challenges and transitions. This includes individuals adjusting to changes related to school, career development, entering the workforce, changing jobs, or finding balance between personal and professional responsibilities. I also support clients who are exploring relationship concerns, including dating, friendships, family dynamics, communication difficulties, and other interpersonal challenges. I also provide support for those coping with grief and loss, whether related to the death of a loved one, the end of a relationship, changes in health, or other significant life changes.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my practice, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and actions. Sometimes the way we think about situations can increase stress, anxiety, sadness, or self-doubt. CBT helps clients identify these patterns and learn healthier, more balanced ways of responding to life's challenges.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

In my practice, I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients manage intense emotions, navigate difficult situations, and build healthier relationships. DBT teaches practical skills that help people cope with stress, regulate emotions, stay present in the moment, and communicate their needs more effectively. This approach can be especially helpful for individuals who feel overwhelmed by their emotions or find themselves repeating patterns that cause distress in their lives.
