For more than twenty years, I’ve supported individuals and families across the Washington, DC region as a dedicated psychotherapist. Many clients know me as “Mr. Mike,” a name that reflects the trust, comfort, and partnership I work to build with every person who walks through my door. I specialize in helping people navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. My approach is grounded in respect, empathy, and a belief that meaningful change is possible at any stage of life. As both a therapist and a behavioral transformationalist, I focus on practical, prosocial strategies that help clients move forward with clarity and confidence. Outside the therapy room, I’m energized by reading, nature, the fine arts, travel, and great food. My large, loving family fuels my passion for youth advocacy, entrepreneurship, and community service. My studies across California, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and Virginia have shaped a therapeutic style that is both compassionate and deeply informed. If you’re seeking a space where you can be heard, understood, and supported as you work toward healing and growth, welcome to RedemptionTriple‑C. You don’t have to navigate this alone.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The initial session is typically exploratory in nature. During this time, I provide an open, empathetic, and nonjudgmental environment while using active listening to assess our fit for the therapeutic process. This session also allows for the development of rapport between client and therapist. I encourage clients to work with a therapist with whom they feel comfortable; if we determine we are not an appropriate match, it is both acceptable and appropriate to pursue a better fit elsewhere.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strength is the ability to listen with genuine openness and without judgment. I work collaboratively with you to clarify your goals, while developing a clear, supportive plan that draws on your own personal and professional strengths. This approach is designed to propel you forward with confidence, resilience, and a renewed sense of possibility and purpose.

Michael was a warm, authentic, and open minded therapist. He gave an active listening hand. Was open minded about family relationships, trauma, sexuality, substance abuse, and managing life changes. Very please with his therapy style and would be booking other therapy sessions with him in the near future.

I believe Michael has shed some light on a few things. I still believe what I want. I have to continue to talk with him so he makes me understand my situation even more.
