Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Texas. I have been practicing for 10 years. I help clients struggling with anxiety, depression, work stress, family issues, grief, and life transitions. I strive to create an environment of genuine acceptance that promotes a sense of safety and encouragement for personal growth. I believe that we all possess strength within us to conquer every challenge we face with the right support.
Hello, I'm Heather, an experienced counselor providing individual, couples, and family therapy in California and Texas. With over 20 years of experience in social work and counseling, including service as a Navy veteran, I provide compassionate, client-centered care focused on helping people navigate emotional concerns, relationship difficulties, family challenges, life transitions, and personal growth.
My approach is collaborative, supportive, and grounded in active listening. I strive to create a respectful, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard and supported while developing practical skills for meaningful and lasting change. In couples and family therapy, I help clients strengthen communication, navigate conflict, improve emotional connection, and better understand differing perspectives.
Couples and family members do not need to be in the same location for telehealth sessions. Simply share the appointment link with the other participant, and each person can join the same session separately.
I accept cash-pay clients for individual, couples, and family therapy in California and Texas. Insurance participation varies by service. I currently accept Aetna, Carelon, EAP: UAW/UMass Benefits, Sharp Health Plan, and UnitedHealthcare/Optum in California for individual therapy, and Aetna in Texas for individual therapy. These plans are not currently accepted for ongoing couples/family therapy with me through this platform.
If your insurance cannot be used for the ongoing service you need, additional options may be available. When applicable, I also provide services through Cyti-Psychological, where you can inquire about continuing care with me. Visit cytipsych.com for insurance and scheduling assistance.
Whether you are seeking support individually, as a couple, or as a family, I look forward to helping you work toward your goals.

Hello and welcome! My name is Deandra, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas and a faith-based therapist dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with compassion, understanding, and hope.
Life can change in an instant. One moment everything feels familiar, and the next, you're facing challenges you never expected. I understand that reality personally. At 31 years old, I was diagnosed with breast cancer, an experience that strengthened my faith, resilience, and perspective on overcoming adversity.
Whether you're struggling with anxiety, stress, relationship concerns, life transitions, self-esteem, or feeling overwhelmed by life's demands, you don't have to navigate it alone. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can process challenges, build healthy coping skills, and move toward meaningful growth.
If you're ready to begin your healing journey, I would be honored to walk alongside you. Together, we can work toward healing, growth, and thriving.
Nobody comes to therapy because they need someone to tell them to “think positive.” They come because they’re tired. Tired of anxiety calling the shots. Tired of repeating the same relationship patterns. Tired of carrying things they were never meant to carry alone.
Life is complicated enough. Understanding yourself shouldn’t be. My job is to help you make sense of what’s happening beneath the surface and give you practical tools you can actually use long after our sessions end.
No two people are the same, so no two sessions are either. We focus on what you need most that day while never losing sight of where you’re trying to go. Some days we’ll process. Some days I’ll challenge you. Some days we’ll laugh because life has a weird sense of humor. Every session has one goal: helping you move forward.
If you’re looking for a therapist who’s engaged, honest, down-to-earth, and willing to have real conversations, I think you’ll feel right at home here.

First Session
In our first session, my focus is on getting to knowing you- what brings you to therapy, what you are hoping to gain from our work together, and what may have felt difficult or painful lately. I’ll ask gentle questions to better understand your experiences, your history, your strengths and the goal you have for therapy- where you want your life to be, a month, six months, a year from now. Then we’ll identify options and strategies you can use to get there. You will leave the session with a better understanding of what you are facing and I can help you begin making sense of your experiences, recognizing your strengths, and identifying the next steps toward healing. There is no pressure to share anything you are not ready to discuss. We will begin building a foundation of trust and understanding and develop a collaborative plan for our work together. Most importantly we will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

My Background
As someone who personally embraces a journey of mental and emotional health, I am
thrilled that you, too, value your own. Welcome to your greater!
When asked why I have chosen this field, I always respond with, “It chose me”. I was
chosen to enter my own healing process and then pursue higher education at Sam
Houston State University to professionally qualify my purpose. I obtained my Bachelor's
of Science (2005) and Master’s (2009) degrees both from the illustrious college. Since
that time I have developed my skill set by working with individuals, couples, and families
in a variety of settings that include outpatient psychiatric programs/hospitals,
Department of Family and Protective Services, and array of private practices.
I work with clients who want to improve the way they experience life. The desire for better relationships with themselves and with others, and to gain a sense of purpose and meaning. I’ve always been interested in what drives people and believe that we can usually discover what is best for ourselves if we slow down, take the time to think things through, talk about it with a person we trust, and express the feelings we have in healthy ways—even the negative ones we may try to avoid. I use a number of therapeutic modalities in my practice, which connect thoughts to feelings and feelings to thoughts, enabling my clients to change and grow in the positive direction that they might envision for themselves. I work with clients who have struggled with addiction, anger, anxiety, depression, relationship separation, internal conflict and conflict with others, grief and loss, and other transitions and adjustment issues. I have completed Gottman trainings, as well as Emotion-Focused Therapy, which offers a structured approach and an emotional map for couples or individuals to learn how successful couples make their relationships last and how to handle conflict in a way that prevents damage to the relationship and helps them feel better connected to their partner. I am also trained in EMDR, a therapy designed to help a person unlock their nervous system to recover from trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, and other problems that can take hold.

Hello! I’m Damien, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Louisiana and Texas with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Louisiana Tech University. Since 2016, I’ve been dedicated to helping individuals improve their mental health. I specialize in addressing anxiety, self-esteem, depression, life transitions, focus issues, and overcoming challenges. My approach is grounded in changing thought patterns to shift perspectives, and I aim to create a professional yet relaxed environment where clients feel supported. It’s a pleasure to meet you!
I have been working in the field of mental health for 14 years. I have experience working with a diverse range of people and mental health disorders. My professional background includes experience in the inpatient, outpatient, and intake hospital setting; non-profit agency setting; and, most recently, private practice. This experience allowed me the opportunity to work with children, adolescents, adults, and families utilizing a variety of unique interventions including cognitive-behavioral therapy, play therapy, eye movement desensitization (EMDR), and sand tray. I specialize in the treatment of trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), but I often take a client centered approach when building a trusting relationship with clients. Research shows that people who experience chronic mental health concerns have untreated trauma, which can occur from a variety of different experiences. Of course, trauma does not account for all mental health concerns, so it is important to be able to meet client's where they are at and provide interventions that are helpful to the individual needs of each client.
