My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive therapy is a type of talk therapy that helps you see how your thoughts affect your feelings and actions. It teaches you to spot negative or false thoughts, change them into positive ones, and feel better.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a structured talk therapy that focuses on mindfulness, distress tolerance, and emotion regulation. Developed by Dr. Marsha Linehan, it helps people balance self-acceptance with positive life changes and help with building emotional tolerance.

Grief Therapy

Grief therapy is a specialized form of psychotherapy designed to help people process deep emotional pain, cope with severe or complicated reactions to a major loss, and adjust to life after bereavement or life-altering events using a variety of techniques to help process and heal from grief and loss.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Person-centered therapy operates on the humanistic belief that the client is inherently driven toward and has the capacity for growth and self-actualization; it relies on this force for therapeutic change. The role of the counselor is to provide a nonjudgmental environment conducive to honest self-exploration with allowing the client to feel heard, supported and guided.

Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy

In REBT, irrational beliefs are considered central factors of emotional distress, so the focus is on changing irrational beliefs into rational beliefs, with the aim of changing dysfunctional emotions and maladaptive behaviors into functional and adaptive ones. I work with patients on helping them to explore their irrational thoughts and to find balance, understanding and solutions.
