About me

I’m a compassionate and experienced therapist, here to support you in navigating life's challenges and improving your mental well-being. I use evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and art/play therapy, tailored to meet your unique needs. Whether you're struggling with stress, anxiety, depression, or difficult life transitions, I'm here to help you explore your thoughts and feelings, develop healthier coping strategies, and work towards meaningful change in your life. I believe that our interpersonal relationship is key to a successful therapeutic experience.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, clients can expect a welcoming and non-judgmental environment where we begin by exploring the reasons you're seeking therapy. We will dive into your personal history, current struggles, and any specific challenges you're facing, using Cognitive Therapy techniques to better understand your thought patterns and how they may be affecting your emotions and behaviors. This initial session is all about getting to know you, your needs, and developing a foundation for our work together. This session is an opportunity for to explore the process if therapy if you are new and do get to know me as a therapist. In the second session, we’ll focus on educating you and your family about emotional responses and how they impact relationships. This session is designed to help everyone understand how to better support one another during the therapeutic process. By fostering open communication and emotional awareness, the goal is to empower each family member with tools to manage stress and create a more supportive home environment as we move forward in therapy.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a provider is my ability to connect with clients on a deep, empathetic level. I make it a priority to create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, valued and sometimes laugh and have fun. My natural empathy allows me to genuinely relate to the experiences and emotions clients share, fostering trust and openness. Additionally, my years of experience in the field have given me a broad understanding of a variety of mental health challenges, which enables me to tailor my approach to each individual’s needs. I am committed to helping clients feel empowered and supported throughout their journey toward healing and growth.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve individuals who are seeking a supportive, empathetic space to explore their emotions and make lasting changes in their lives. This includes clients dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, or life transitions, as well as those who may benefit from art/play therapy to express and process their feelings. I work well with those who are open to self-reflection and growth, and who are looking for practical tools to manage challenges, improve relationships, and enhance their mental well-being. Whether you're navigating personal struggles or seeking to build emotional resilience, I offer a collaborative approach tailored to your unique needs.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

(CBT) is a structured, goal-oriented approach used in therapy to help individuals identify and challenge negative thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to emotional distress. By focusing on the connection between thoughts, feelings, and actions, CBT helps clients develop healthier coping strategies, reframe irrational or unhelpful beliefs, and adopt more adaptive behaviors. It is used to treat a variety of mental health conditions, such as anxiety, depression, and PTSD, and can be effective in both individual and group settings. Through practical exercises and skill-building, CBT empowers clients to take an active role in their mental well-being.

Play Therapy

I am a fully trained play therapist and will become registered in Aug 2025. Play therapy is a therapeutic approach that uses play as a medium for children to express their emotions, thoughts, and experiences in a safe and non-threatening environment. Since children may have difficulty verbalizing their feelings, play therapy allows them to communicate and process emotions through toys, art, games, and other creative activities. By observing and guiding children in their play, therapists can gain insight into their inner world, address behavioral issues, and help them develop healthier coping mechanisms. Play therapy is effective for a range of issues, including trauma, anxiety, depression, and difficulties with social skills, and is often adapted to suit the child's developmental level and unique needs.
