New to Grow
My approach to therapy is warm, supportive, and centered on creating a space where you can feel comfortable being yourself—without judgment or pressure to fit into someone else’s idea of how you “should” think, feel, or live. My own experience as a neurodivergent person, along with my personal and professional experience with neurodiversity, has given me a genuine understanding of how differently each person can experience the world and their own mind. I enjoy helping clients understand how their unique brain works, recognize their strengths, and find ways to work with themselves rather than against themselves. I especially enjoy working with teens and young adults as they discover who they are, set goals, and navigate life’s challenges, while welcoming clients at every stage of life.
our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what brought you to therapy. You do not need to have everything figured out or know exactly what to say. I will help guide the conversation and make sure you have space to share what feels important to you. Together, we will talk about your current concerns, your goals, and what you would like to get out of therapy. We’ll begin identifying your strengths and areas where you may want to make changes, while also discussing what approaches may work best for you. Most importantly, you can expect a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where you can be yourself. My goal is for you to leave your first session feeling heard, understood, and with a clearer sense of how we can work together moving forward.
I believe you don’t have to change who you are to be accepted, understood, or connected to others. Instead, I help people recognize their unique strengths and learn how to let those strengths work for them. We can acknowledge differences without feeling the need to change our way of thinking or dim who we are to make others comfortable. What makes my approach stand out is that I don’t believe in forcing people into a particular way of thinking. I listen, ask thoughtful questions, offer new perspectives, and help clients better understand themselves. My goal is to help people recognize that the qualities that may have made them feel different can also become some of their greatest strengths. I want each person to leave our sessions feeling more understood, more confident in who they are, and better equipped to embrace their own perspective.
My ideal client is someone who is open to therapy and ready to be an active participant in the process. They may be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, uncertain about their next steps, or simply want support in creating positive changes in their life. I especially enjoy working with teens, young adults, and clients across the lifespan who are willing to explore their thoughts and feelings, set meaningful goals, and work toward change at a pace that feels manageable for them. I specialize in anxiety, panic disorders and depression. I value working collaboratively with clients who are receptive to new perspectives, willing to try different strategies, and interested in developing practical tools they can use outside of therapy. I enjoy helping clients identify their strengths, better understand themselves, build confidence, and move toward the life they want. I also welcome LGBTQ+ clients and neurodivergent clients and strive to provide a supportive, respectful, and affirming space where clients can feel comfortable being themselves. My goal is to meet each person where they are while helping them identify realistic goals and take steps toward meaningful progress.
I explain how our thoughts, feelings and actions act in concert and how you can change unhealthy thought patterns, replacing them with healthy, positive thoughts and actions.
