I understand how overwhelming life can feel when you are carrying challenges alone or do not yet have the tools to navigate them. My goal is to help clients feel empowered, supported, and capable of moving forward with greater confidence, balance, and self-understanding.
Let me help you overcome the challenges of daily living. My name is Scott with 35 years in the mental health field serving individuals and families just like you, who live in Indiana. I am licensed as an LMFT, licensed marriage and family therapist, LMHC, licensed mental health counselor, and LCAC, licensed clinical addictions counselor. Let me share my belief and philosophy on therapy and counseling! I believe that a therapist works best with a client when they take time to first understand the person, their background, and any and all knowledge that may help facilitate the process of therapy.
But it's not only that, right? It is important that, in therapy, we work to provide and cultivate a safe place to share, and a time to work on your concerns, so that you feel better and able to go forward in your life with greater resolve, and more peace of mind. We can do this! I have seen it happen all the time! You can feel better!
I work in solution focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, CBT, motivational interviewing, family systems therapy, and provide psychoeducation as needed as well. While I am not a medical professional and cannot make medical diagnoses, I am conversant with psychopharmacology and can help you perhaps clarify how to communicate with your medical provider.
Please feel free to call me. I see clients using telehealth at this time.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 20 years of experience primarily working with families, teenagers, women's issues, medical and behavioral health focused as well as crisis support. Since my career change to social work and therapy, my experience has broadened to include refugee resettlement, hospice social work, medical social work, and trauma-informed therapy. Stop. Unclench your jaw. Relax your shoulders. Breath. My practice has been focused on decreasing the effects of trauma, depression, and anxiety in both adults and children through a mind and body approach. While working with children and adults there is a focus on the present while relieving symptoms caused by the past. Therapy is a relationship between a provider and client that supports positive change. I have witnessed these changes while working with each of my clients and as a client myself. I truly believe that I can help you and/or your children improve your mood and decrease negative behaviors.

I am a christian based counselor and will, at client request, use a faith based approach that can add an added support for the client. I am so blessed to have had this as my career and have worked with clients of all ages starting my career on the cancer center a Riley hospital for Children, moving to a locked unit with juvenile offenders ages 5-11, equine assisted therapy for at risk teens, to working with seniors in long term care or living at home. I am now doing my work from home making the progression as people have been given this as a source of support and allowing them to get help from home.

I know that starting therapy can be scary or overwhelming. You are taking the first step in ensuring you have the resources and tools to help you succeed. Together, we will help you find the best road in life!
I am able to help clients struggling with ADHD, Bipolar, Depression, Trauma, Addiction (either struggling with addiction or families that have a loved one struggling with addiction), Anger, Parenting struggles, Isolation, Relationship problems, Anger, Mood disorders, Personality disorders, and other issues. I help support my client with meeting their goals. I believe in adapting the process to best meet your needs. I meet my clients where they are and I offer flexibility in the process as we work together. Together, we can meet your goal! If you struggle with anxious attachment, people pleasing, setting boundaries, feeling triggered, anger, anxiety, depression, co-dependence, parenting issues, and ADD/ ADHD, then I want to work with you. These symptoms and attachment style are often related to each other and often related to similar childhood experiences of inconstant or abusive/neglectful caregivers. (ADD and ADHD is not cause by caregivers, however, when it goes undiagnosed in children, there is s strong correlation to symptoms described above)
Do you strive for inner peace, miss who you used to be? Do you find yourself struggling in current relationships or the future you set for yourself? What about expectations you thought you should be living up to but they are not happening? Do you find it hard to express your feelings without feeling the need to justify them? Do you find yourself indulging in certain addictions but don't know why. Are you losing a sense of self or your "why" in life? With my 20+ years of experience, I can adapt the best choice of therapy for you and help you find inner peace and together we can fight to overcome those internal struggles with daily life.
I believe together we can change our thoughts, feelings and behaviors so we can experience more positive outcomes in life. Happiness is something we create for ourselves. If you struggle with this I would like the opportunity to explore this with you and better help you understand why. Change starts from within, there is hope and together we can make that happen. I have a gentle but direct way of challenging yourself to help you work toward your inner peace. I provide a safe and secure environment to freely express yourself.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor in Indiana.
Are you looking for your life to be different somehow, but you aren't sure exactly what that would look like, or how to make it happen? I can help you identify your most pressing issues, then help you identify solutions that you believe will work and support you while you start to implement changes. I believe you are the most likely person to be able to identify your best solutions, and perhaps all you need is encouragement and acceptance to get started.
I work from a background of existential theory (the idea that our human experiences are shared and we are all looking for meaning, purpose, satisfying relationships, and personal freedom), and I blend cognitive behavioral theory (CBT), motivational interviewing, radical acceptance, and humor into therapy. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a method of learning the connections between our actions, our feelings, our thoughts, and our physical sensations. Motivational interviewing (MI) is a way to encourage positive changes without it feeling overwhelming or scary.
I believe every person deserves care, concern, and a safe space to explore their feelings without judgment or fear. I aim to be easy to talk to, an excellent and attentive listener, and always supportive. I sometimes recommend helpful assignments in between therapy sessions to help you practice new skills and learn hidden truths about yourself. I help people who have been codependent on their partner to become freer to make their own decisions and to trust their partner to do the same. I can help you learn specific techniques to lessen the symptoms of your anxiety, depression, and sleep disturbances.
I am passionate about helping people navigate the challenges of PTSD, depression, anxiety, and addiction. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside clients in community mental health centers, academic medical settings, and private practice, supporting them as they heal, grow, and discover what’s possible for their lives.
I am also deeply passionate about teaching and sharing knowledge—I’ve taught college courses on addiction treatment and have led trainings for other therapists on how to provide effective, compassionate care. I earned my graduate degree from the University of Chicago.
When I’m not in session, you’ll often find me enjoying a good book, trying out a new recipe, or enjoying quiet moments with my spouse and our two cats.
I’m Dawn Adler, LISW-S, MPPM. I’m committed to creating a therapeutic space where every person—regardless of background—is valued, supported, and seen for their innate goodness. My work is grounded in the belief that each individual has a unique purpose, a spark of potential, and the ability to grow, heal, and elevate their life.
I support clients navigating anxiety, depression, stress, and life transitions. In our sessions, I offer a warm, compassionate, and judgment-free environment where you can share openly and reconnect with the strengths already within you.
I especially enjoy working with individuals who value genuine connection and are interested in personal growth, emotional resilience, and cultivating a meaningful life. Together, we’ll explore what’s weighing on you, strengthen what’s already good inside you, and work toward becoming the most aligned, grounded, and empowered version of yourself—at a pace that feels right for you.
Do you take responsibility for other people's emotions and ignore your own needs? Are you feeling stressed, drained, and stuck?
I help millennial high achievers, people pleasers, and perfectionists manage anxiety and find the parts of you that feel not good enough. Together, we can figure out what's not working and get you unstuck. We'll use a whole self approach, addressing the needs of your mind, body, and spirit. Though I have 12 years of experience working with people with disabilities and their families. I work with people to focus on strengths and identified areas of growth to become successful in all areas of their life.
Welcome !
Something in your life has initiated this search for support and you have come to the right place. I applaud you. My name is Victoria, and I am both a licensed professional therapist and a Nationally Certified Counselor in the state of Florida. I have worked with individuals experiencing a variety of issues including substance abuse, depression and anxiety, family conflict, trauma, stress-related issues, communication challenges, self-esteem, and many more. I have extensive experience working with Trauma and am trained in providing Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with several years of experience providing trauma-informed therapy. My work mainly focuses on helping clients understand and manage the effects of trauma, chronic stress, and overwhelming life events. As a military spouse, I have firsthand insight into how prolonged uncertainty, transitions, and cumulative stress impact individuals, which informs my compassionate and grounded approach to care.
I use evidence-based, trauma-focused methods to help clients develop emotional regulation, boost self-awareness, and regain safety and stability. Many clients face anxiety, relationship issues, hypervigilance, emotional numbness, or trauma-related patterns. Therapy is a collaborative process, carefully paced to let clients participate comfortably without feeling rushed or overwhelmed.
Earlier in my career, I mainly worked with children and adolescents. Currently, I focus on supporting adults and couples, while still working with teen clients. This experience helps me understand how early experiences, attachment styles, and relationship dynamics can affect current functioning and relationships.
I am dedicated to fostering a supportive and respectful therapeutic environment where clients can freely explore their experiences, acquire practical coping skills, and progress toward healing at a pace that feels safe and sustainable.
