What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

For our first session, we will work to get to know each other. I will want to gather current information, explore the reason for seeking care, and how I can help.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked in the field of mental health treatment for 20+ years, I have experience working at various levels of care- inpatient, intensive outpatient, outpatient, and integrated care. I am confident in my ability to evaluate, diagnose, make treatment recommendations, and implement care.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT helps to become aware of negative thinking patterns, which impacts mood and behavior. It is helpful to explore those patterns to identify cognitive distortions and ways to challenge those thoughts and reframe. This allows us to face challenging situations clearly and respond in a more effective way.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Using a wide variety of mindfulness skills, we can work on being in the present moment.

Psychoeducation

I provide a variety resources to for information because knowledge is power. The more you know what you are experiencing, the more you will be able to manage challenging or distressful situations.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Being in the here and now, explore the possibilities for the future, establishing goals, and implementing steps to get there.

Strength-Based

This involves building a collaborative relationship with emphasis on being an expert of self. Together, we focus on what is "working" in your life. Identifying and accessing personal, relational, and community strengths.
