(she/her)
Hi, I’m Sophie. I’m an independently licensed therapist providing virtual therapy in Florida, Ohio, and Indiana, and I accept most major insurance plans. I work with adults navigating anxiety, OCD, mood disorders, relationship stress, trauma, chronic pain, infertility/IVF, eating disorders, and major life transitions. My approach is warm, collaborative, and supportive, while also helping clients build practical tools they can use in everyday life. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes. Reaching out for support can feel overwhelming, and I believe therapy should feel approachable, validating, and tailored to your unique needs and goals. Together, we focus on improving coping skills, emotional regulation, communication, boundaries, self-esteem, and overall quality of life. I earned my B.A. in Psychology and M.Ed. in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from Florida Atlantic University and have over 11 years of experience supporting both women and men through a wide range of emotional and behavioral health concerns. I’m especially passionate about helping individuals coping with chronic pain, infertility, IVF, and the emotional toll that medical and health-related challenges can have on mental health, relationships, identity, and self-esteem. I also enjoy working with clients who feel stuck, overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or uncertain about how to move forward. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, intrusive thoughts, family or relationship conflict, burnout, or life transitions, therapy can help you gain insight, build confidence, and develop healthier patterns. My office hours are Tuesday–Thursday from 11 AM–5 PM EST. If you don’t see a time that works for your schedule or have questions about getting started, please feel free to reach out — I’m here to support you.
In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other in a safe and supportive space. We’ll explore what has brought you to therapy, talk through your hopes and goals, and begin to outline a path forward that feels right for you. You’re welcome to ask any questions—I'm here to support you every step of the way!
I deeply value the uniqueness of every individual and believe therapy should be personalized to reflect your specific experiences, needs, and goals. In my practice, no two treatment plans are ever the same. I take a collaborative and supportive approach, working closely with clients to create meaningful goals and a treatment plan that feels realistic, empowering, and aligned with their values. I believe therapy works best when clients feel actively involved in the process, so I only recommend strategies, coping skills, or therapeutic exercises that feel comfortable and meaningful to you. Most importantly, I strive to provide a safe, inclusive, affirming, and nonjudgmental space where all clients feel heard, respected, and supported.
I specialize in working with women and men navigating a variety of life challenges, including infertility, IVF, and chronic pain. My ideal client may be coping with anxiety, OCD, mood or personality disorders, or struggling with eating issues. I also work with individuals facing family and relationship conflicts, anger management concerns, or challenges related to career transitions or failure to launch. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain about your next steps, I provide a supportive and nonjudgmental space to explore your experiences and build practical coping skills.
Other specialties
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a structured, goal-oriented approach that helps individuals identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to emotional distress. In CBT, clients work with their therapist to recognize unhelpful thinking habits, such as overgeneralizing or catastrophizing, and replace them with more balanced and realistic thoughts. The therapy also focuses on developing practical coping strategies and problem-solving skills to manage stress, anxiety, depression, and other challenges. Through this process, clients can gain greater self-awareness, improve emotional regulation, and build healthier ways of thinking and responding to life’s difficulties.
Culturally Sensitive Therapy
Culturally sensitive therapy recognizes and respects the unique cultural backgrounds, values, and experiences of each individual. This approach involves understanding how culture, race, ethnicity, and identity influence mental health and well-being. In culturally sensitive therapy, the therapist creates a safe, inclusive space where clients can explore how their cultural context impacts their experiences, relationships, and emotions. The therapist tailors interventions and strategies to align with the client’s cultural values and beliefs, fostering trust and promoting healing in a way that honors their identity. The goal is to support clients in navigating challenges while honoring their cultural perspectives and lived experiences
Experiential Therapy
Experiential therapy focuses on helping individuals explore and express their emotions through direct, hands-on experiences. This approach often involves activities like role-playing, art, or guided imagery to access deeper feelings and memories that may be difficult to express verbally. By engaging with these techniques, clients can gain insights into unresolved issues, past traumas, or unprocessed emotions. The goal of experiential therapy is to foster emotional healing and self-awareness, allowing individuals to better understand their inner world, release emotional blockages, and create lasting change in their behavior and mindset.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Mindfulness-based therapy combines traditional therapeutic techniques with mindfulness practices to help individuals stay present and manage stress, anxiety, and emotional challenges. In this approach, clients learn to observe their thoughts, feelings, and physical sensations without judgment, allowing them to develop greater self-awareness and emotional regulation. Techniques like mindful breathing, body scans, and meditation are incorporated to promote relaxation and reduce reactivity. The goal of mindfulness-based therapy is to help clients cultivate a calm, focused mind, improve overall well-being, and break patterns of negative thinking, leading to a more balanced and mindful way of living.
Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)
the gold-standard treatment for OCD. ERP helps you gradually face fears or intrusive thoughts while learning to resist the urge to engage in compulsions. Over time, this builds confidence and reduces anxiety in a safe, supportive way.

I really enjoy our discussions. Sophie is direct but empowers me to take action by putting together suggestions to resolve issues at hand either with myself or others.

Very understanding and welcoming. Down to earth. Very comforting and able to joke around about things. I needed this.
