Hi there! Originally from Kentucky, I'm currently a Licensed Mental Health Counselor practicing in Indiana. My journey started with a Master's in Counseling from Trevecca Nazarene University, though initially I pursued a career in teaching, which briefly postponed my entry into therapy. During my time in education, I witnessed firsthand the diverse needs of students and parents. I bring with me extensive experience working with teens, adolescents, and young adults across various environments. I firmly believe that anyone who is motivated to change can achieve their goals with dedication and effort.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our initial session, our focus will be on building rapport and getting acquainted with each other. I consider a strong therapeutic relationship essential for the success of therapy. If we both agree by the end of our session that we are a good match, we will proceed to schedule our next session together.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a provider, I believe my greatest strengths lie in empathy, empowering others, maintaining an open and non-judgmental attitude, and creating a shame-free atmosphere.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I believe we all use the principles of CBT in our daily lives whether we realize it or not. However, I feel that in therapy, you learn to recognize those principles and use them in a productive and positive manner. It is important to know how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors/actions are connected, but even more so, what to do when you are having those strong feelings.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

As a person and therapist I have an empathetic nature. I want to walk alongside, encourage you, and help you find your truth along the journey with no worries of fear, shame, or judgement.
