I am a psychotherapist who helps teens and adults feel better by talking through what’s been hard and teaching ways to handle big feelings. I create a safe space where you can be yourself, talk about anything, and not feel judged. Sometimes, we look at how past experiences or relationships may be affecting how you feel now. If you’ve gone through something really scary or upsetting, I use gentle ways to help you feel safer and more in control again. My job is to help you understand what’s going on inside and give you tools to feel stronger, calmer, and more like yourself. If you want, we can include your faith and beliefs as part of the conversation too.

Hi — Hola. I’m Andrea, I’m really glad you’re here! I’ve spent over eight years supporting both youth and adults. And because trauma has impacted my life as well, I deeply understand how it can shape our nervous system—fueling overthinking, people-pleasing, perfectionism, and that persistent feeling of “never good enough.” I share this simply to let you know you’re not alone—I truly understand, and I’ve been in a similar place. My approach is warm, trauma informed and bilingual (Spanish/English). We’ll work with your story and your nervous system using attachment-focused work, inner-child exploration, mindfulness, mind-body connection work, narrative therapy, and trauma informed care. I take a holistic view—mind, body, and heart—and, if it resonates, we can integrate spirituality and energy-based practices to deepen healing and self-trust. Together, we’ll create a steady, supportive space where you can set down what feels heavy, calm your nervous system, and build practical tools you can actually use—boundaries you can maintain, a gentler inner voice, and healthier relationship patterns. We’ll move at your pace, while still doing meaningful work that creates real change—so you can feel more clear, more grounded, and more like yourself.

Hi, I’m Allison. Whether you’re feeling burned out, stuck in unfulfilling patterns, or having challenges in your relationships, therapy can help you recover and feel more grounded. Many of the people I work with are new to therapy. They may not have a specific diagnosis or crisis, but they know something feels “off.” Clients often tell me they feel comfortable opening up with me quickly. If you're feeling overwhelmed or disconnected, know that meaningful change is possible. Let’s work together to help you feel more content, empowered, and like yourself again. Clients often tell me they feel at ease opening up to me. Many feel relieved to have a therapist who offers active guidance, rather than just listening without direction. Finding relief and reconnecting with a sense of peace is more achievable than it might feel right now—and once you start, the process of change often unfolds more quickly than you expect. I approach therapy by looking at the root cause of problems, rather than focusing on one problem at a time. I work from a systemic perspective, which means we will dive into your personal relationships, behavior patterns, and lifestyle choices which are interconnected with the issues you may be facing. If you'd like to learn more about me and my therapy methods, feel free to visit my website at www.mindtalkhealing.com

Welcome I’m Ellen Johnson, LCSW, a therapist who works with adults who have insight—but still feel caught in old emotional patterns. You may understand the “why” behind your reactions and still find it hard to do something different when it matters most. My work is grounded in curiosity, not judgment. Together, we explore what drives your responses, what safety means to you, and how to create lasting change that doesn’t depend on willpower alone. You don’t have to start with confidence—just with willingness.

Ideal clients are women (14+) who feel anxious, stuck, or uncertain about their path - whether due to recent, past, or even childhood experiences/trauma (known or unknown) or simply feeling disconnected from her sense of self. She’s ready to explore her inner world, gain clarity, and heal in a safe, supportive space. She may struggle with self-doubt, people-pleasing, or emotional overwhelm, but she’s also eager to learn, grow, and problem-solve. The vibe I bring to the therapy room is warm, authentic, real, and vasilates between "safe" and "challenging" for maximum growth. I hope to create a space where cliens feel safe being completely real and open to self-discovery. My approach is best for low to mid-acuity clients who are ready to engage in self-discovery, develop healthier thinking and behavioral patterns, and move forward with confidence. (High acuity clients may benefit from a higher level of care than I can provide via telehatlh, and/or in-person care.)

Frequently asked questions

Why filter by Florida rather than a city like Tampa?

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in Florida. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across Florida from Miami to Jacksonville! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in Florida.

Will my therapist take insurance?

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

How does the Specialty Filter work? Can I find a therapist that focuses on a specific issue?

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Why use Gender, Age, and Identities filters?

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

What happens during the first therapy session?

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
