Hi! My name is Kirby Kelleher and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I graduated with my MSW in 2016 from Florida State University. I have been practicing since that time and also spent time working in hospice, healthcare, and the VA. I help young people and adults struggling with life transitions and grief begin their journey toward healing and a joyful life they love.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session we will spend time getting to know each other and dive into what brought you here in the first place. Then, we will work together to make a session by session plan that feels custom to your unique needs.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked in the healthcare space the majority of my career, I've developed a toolbox to help adults, children, and teens learn skills to heal from big changes in their lives like divorce, death of a loved one, or another traumatic event. We will first explore the event, and then make a personalized plan to move you toward a place of healing and acceptance.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with young people and adults alike who are struggling with grief, loss, and life transitions. Grief does not always have to mean death, and I help my clients unpack their loss while making a plan to live a full, values driven life. My clients often are motivated to get to the other side of their grief or transition, and are experiencing anxiety, depression, and stress. We work together to create a personalized healing plan that meets their needs.

ACT is used to focus our sessions on what is important to you, and how your life decisions are aligned with your values.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational interviewing is helpful when you are wanting to make behavior changes, especially health behaviors like quitting smoking, losing weight, or reducing stress

Grief Therapy

Specific modalities to target healing when experiencing loss, whether it is a death, life transition, divorce, or another type of loss
