My doctoral research areas were Case Conceptualization and Attachment/Adult Psychopathology and I have served as an adjunct professor in clinical mental health My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. I consider our therapeutic relationship as one as "an exchange of ideas". My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, solution focused, psychodynamic and developmental based counseling. I am well trained in other modalities as well. I understand that it takes courage to seek help, and it's not easy to face fear. I do not believe that "you are your diagnosis". Rather, I will view you "as a a unique individual facing some challenges". My background and training is unique, and I think you will find that I see things very differently than most clinicians. I believe therapy is most effective when it feels both supportive and collaborative. My goal is to provide a safe space where clients can process trauma, explore challenges, and build the skills they need to live more fully. I offer psychotherapy, therapeutic assessments, and specialized interventions designed to meet each client’s unique needs. Whether you are navigating life transitions, managing mental health concerns, or seeking greater clarity in your relationships, I aim to help you feel understood and empowered. As I often remind clients, our connection to the world is shaped by the people we engage with. Together, we can build on your existing strengths and experiences to create meaningful change and improve your quality of life. As an athlete, a family man, and a man of faith, I understand the challenges with adjusting to change associated with leaving a sport or career, you love, before you believe your time is up. I understand what it feels like to develop a bond and the challenges with sustaining such bonds. I also understand seeking growth spiritually when there’s so much temptation and triggers that seem to pull me away for my goals. With that, these experiences are what hopefully keep me humble, motivated, and grateful.

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in ADHD therapy for adults, couples, families, and college students across Florida and Wisconsin struggling with emotional exhaustion, unfinished tasks, relationship conflict, burnout, or chronic overwhelm. Many of the clients I work with have spent years feeling frustrated with not being able to consistently follow through, stay organized, manage emotions, or function at the level they know they are capable of. Before becoming a therapist, I spent over 20 years as a Life Coach and ADHD Coach, studying and working exclusively with one condition: Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). That experience gave me firsthand insight into how deeply ADHD can affect confidence, relationships, emotional regulation, organization, and everyday functioning over time. This foundation allows me to help clients address the emotional and relational patterns that often develop after years of feeling overwhelmed, misunderstood, disorganized, or mentally overloaded. My work centers on helping people better understand how ADHD affects emotions, relationships, and everyday life so they can move forward with greater clarity and self-understanding. Together, we'll identify what's getting in the way and build practical strategies that actually fit how your brain works.

Life can be a lot sometimes. Between overthinking, relationships, family expectations, and trying to keep it all together, it’s easy to lose sight of yourself. I’m a South Asian Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and I value honesty, humor, and real connection. I want therapy to be a space where you can say what you actually think, work through the things you don’t always know how to explain, and be yourself without feeling judged. My approach blends CBT, person-centered therapy, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care. We’ll explore the patterns behind your thoughts and behaviors, make sense of your emotions, and find practical ways to navigate life that feel right for you. I use a person-centered approach along with practical tools like CBT to help you understand your emotions, build coping skills, and work through patterns that keep you feeling stuck. Thank you for taking the time to learn about me. Whether you are exploring therapy for yourself or as a couple, for the first time or returning to it, let us acknowledge the courage and humility it takes to seek support outside of yourself - a powerful step toward healing, growth, and change. You may be navigating stress, loss, disconnection, conflict, anger, depression, anxiety, a difficult event, or living with trauma. You may already have insight into your challenges and are looking for the right support to nudge you forward. You are here. I have been a mental health service provider since 2004, after earning my M.A. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Central Florida. I'm currently pursuing a doctorate in Conflict Analysis and Resolution at Nova Southeastern University, where my research focuses on relational resonance, relationships, and reconciliation in conflict resolution. My therapeutic approach is trauma-informed and grounded in evidence-based practices, including EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral, Acceptance & Commitment, Mindfulness, Interpersonal, Humanistic and Client-Centered, Psychodynamic therapeutic modalities, among others. While theory and technique are crucial, I believe the heart of therapy lies in genuine human connection. I sit with you. I listen to understand your unique lived experiences. I support you. Through questioning, you are guided to the answers you seek; with your permission, I offer different perspectives and encouragement as you do the meaningful work of change. We build a therapeutic relationship rooted in trust, honesty, and collaboration. I look forward to meeting you and supporting you on your path to greater well-being.

Hello! I’m Dr. Thuydy (pronounced "Tweety"), a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Certified Sex Therapist, and Ph.D. in Clinical Sexology. I specialize in supporting individuals and couples navigating intimacy challenges, compulsive sexual behaviors, trauma, and relationship concerns. My doctoral research focused on trauma-informed treatment for compulsive sexual behaviors, which I bring into my clinical work with compassion, respect, and a nonjudgmental approach. I understand how difficult it can feel to navigate disconnection, conflict, or shame, especially when intimacy, sexuality, or past trauma are involved. My approach is trauma-informed, sex-positive, shame-resilient, and inclusive. I strive to create a safe, affirming space where clients from all backgrounds feel respected and supported, including those who identify as LGBTQIA+, engage in kink or BDSM, or practice consensual non-monogamy or polyamory. Together, we'll explore your unique experiences, identify patterns that no longer serve you, and develop practical tools for resilience, communication, and self-compassion. I integrate evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, somatic interventions, and shame resilience principles to create a personalized path toward healing, connection, and lasting growth.

Hello. Thank you for taking the time to invest in your healing and growth. I believe we all carry within us the resources we need to enjoy life in a realistic and authentic way. As a psychotherapist, I help people utilize their thinking, speaking and actions to tap into the present moment and move towards greater health and wellness. I have experience working with mental health diagnosis and treatment In both outpatient and inpatient settings, substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, grief and loss and trauma disorder such as PTSD. A good therapist will not shame or blame you; will not try to become your parent or your buddy. They will cheer you on your journey and at times, help you see yourself in a new and different way. They will not do the work for you. They will help you keep accountable to yourself and the goals you create together in the work. They will encourage clear communication, authenticity, patience and compassion both for yourself and others. Accountability is a necessary part of any therapeutic relationship. I require at least 24 hours' notice prior to cancelling your scheduled appointment. Same day cancellations or no shows are subject to a Grow therapy fee of $50. Similarly, if I have to cancel within 24 hours' notice your next session will be free. The therapy process is engaged, dynamic and can be immensely satisfying. Hi there, I am Charly. As a clinical therapist, I admire your willingness to seek therapy support. I want to offer understanding, and empathic emotional support to assist anyone experiencing emotional distress. Most people tend to suffer silently in their heads, or minds, due to conscious or subconscious, self-blame, shame, or guilt feelings as they seem to feel helpless. Individuals experiencing acute emotional distress due to mental health conditions often fail to realize that unresolved, deep internal pain or heartache is silently triggering their emotional distress. One school of talk therapy called, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), proposes that the lack of the capacity for "Psychological Flexibility" and our brain's default, or Survival Mode functioning the instinctual responses of "Flight or Flight," as required for human survival. As, your therapist, I am willing to support you in exploring your difficulty or distress and examine the mental barriers or psychological blinders causing you to feel internally conflicted and stuck. Some of my past and current clients tell me that "my ability to relate to them with an open mind and withholding personal judgment and a solution-focused perspective," helps them to feel at ease and connect with me and my style of therapy. I follow an eclectic approach to therapy, drawing from academic learning, experiential knowledge, and over 30 years of practicing experience using evidence-based treatment modalities based on scientific literature and up-to-date neuroscience research. I have training and experience in the following major treatment modalities such as CBT, REBT, SFBT, ACT, Mindfulness, and specifically to deal with trauma, a newer form of Rapid Eye Movement Therapy (Accelerated Resolution Therapy).

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
