Starting therapy can feel empowering, confusing, or even intimidating—and it’s worth taking a moment to recognize the courage it takes to take this first step toward caring for your mental health. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment where you can explore challenges related to anxiety, depression, self-care, and more. My goal is to help you strengthen communication and boundaries with yourself and others so that you can improve your quality of life and move toward the future you envision. Therapy is not just about overcoming obstacles—it’s also about personal growth. Together, we’ll clarify your goals and identify strategies to help you move toward them, whether that means change over the next month, six months, or a year. You’ll leave our sessions with practical insights and “next steps” you can put into action right away. I believe life’s purpose isn’t simply to be happy, but to find meaning—and within that meaning, joy emerges. While the journey isn’t always easy, it can be transformative. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Addictions Professional, Internationally Certified Drug Counselor, and Behavior Analyst. I take a strength-based approach, helping you use your unique abilities to address challenges. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to empower you in creating lasting change. Most importantly, I bring a relaxed, compassionate, and trustworthy presence, fostering a therapeutic relationship where you feel safe and supported.

I completed my Masters in 2005, while also starting my journey in the field in 2004. I spent a year working in Opiate addiction but my true passion was children and families. I moved on to intensive services, working with underserved children and their families in rural areas, from 2005-2007. After leaving that position, I moved onto a company doing similar work. where I continued to work with children, families and adults that were underserved for 5 more years. I provided therapy in homes, schools and the office setting. I began to focus in on Trauma work as well as anxiety disorders to include OCD and all other anxiety disorders. After spending nearly 10 years in the field, I decided to get my license in the state of Florida (LMHC-Licensed Mental Health Counselor) and move into a management role where I worked for the past 13 years while also maintaining private clients. I supervise therapists, working to become licensed, so I spend a lot of time consulting on cases of all kinds. In this time I was also trained in various forms of trauma based cognitive behavioral approaches as well as EMDR (still learning however).

Hi, I'm Ashley, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Reiki II practitioner. I believe that somewhere underneath the anxiety, the self-doubt, and the patterns that keep repeating, there is a version of you that already knows the way. My job isn't to fix you. It's to create a space steady enough that you can actually hear yourself. Together we get curious about the thoughts that won't quiet down, the emotions that feel bigger than the moment, the behaviors that keep showing up even when you don't want them to, and what all of it is actually trying to tell you. I utilize a holistic approach, bringing tools into our work that help you understand what's happening in your mind and body when you're overwhelmed, so you can actually do something about it instead of just surviving it. But more than any method or modality, I show up as a real person walking alongside you, trusting that you are the expert on your own life. If you're ready to listen to that wiser part of yourself and create meaningful change, I'd be honored to walk with you.

Are you experiencing frustration, confusion or turmoil in your life? Even to the point where you see no sense of direction while trying to navigate through life? At times, this can be overwhelming for individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, PTSD, including other mental health disorders. Hi! My name is Stephaney and I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida with almost a decade of experience in treating adults and adolescents for various mental health challenges and co-occurring diagnoses. I was inspired to become a therapist by my unique experience migrating to the United States at the age of 13 and attending middle school which was very challenging for me. Culture shock became my reality and one that would eventually lead me to “Severe anxiety.” Even with a very strong family support system, I felt alone and trapped by my own inner fears and self-defeating thoughts. Constant worry and fear of being bullied by my peers became my everyday experience. Through all these obstacles, I was able to process my feelings and experiences with my faith in Jesus Christ, supportive family, and a few good friends. To this extent, I have come to recognize the benefits of a strong support system and the need for social and relational connection. As a mental health counselor, I’m privileged to be a part of that support system for many people. I work with my clients to connect the dots between their thoughts, emotions, and actions, all while providing sound strategies to promote healthier thought processes. I believe that every human being deserves a chance to be heard and understood, and therapy has taught me that as human beings, we are more alike than different. So as your therapist, I’m excited to be a listening ear for you and help guide you toward your goals.

Hello, my name is Justine Nyman. I want to thank you for taking the time to seek support. It is not easy to reach out or even realize that counseling/support is needed. So, I welcome you to therapy. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida. I have 10 years' experience and continue to grow in my therapeutic approaches and my knowledge as a therapist. I create an environment where the client feels comfortable and open to emotional vulnerability. In order to express ourselves and be open with our struggles we need to feel comfortable in the therapeutic process. I use acceptance with my clients and don't judge them based on their history or their current choices. I want the client to feel that they can start their journey, set goals, use coping skills, and improve their overall well-being. Counseling is a process and takes time. Some individuals require more time than others and that is okay. I believe in moving with the pace of the client, through setting goals and practicing tools is essential for change. In order to feel change, we need to make changes in our everyday lives. If we don't initiate changes, it becomes a struggle to move forward. "Practice makes permanent" I look forward to working with you on your journey of growth, mastery, and success.

Hello, my name is Tesia, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida with over 13 years of professional experience. I specialize in working with adults who are navigating stress, anxiety, self-esteem concerns, relationship challenges, post-traumatic stress, and experiences of abuse. I also have extensive experience supporting individuals and families with communication and relational dynamics. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel heard, supported, and free from judgment. Many people spend their lives caring for others without having a place of their own to process what they carry. My goal is to provide a safe, compassionate environment where you can explore your thoughts and emotions while developing the tools needed to heal and grow. I am deeply committed to making therapy accessible and affordable. I understand that reaching out for help is not easy, and for many, it can feel like one of the hardest steps to take. Choosing to begin therapy is a powerful first step toward becoming the best version of yourself, and I am here to support you every step of the way.

If you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure where to start, you're in the right place. I'm Katya, and I see therapy as a practical, collaborative space where we focus on real progress, not perfection. Together, we'll work to better understand the patterns that keep you stuck, strengthen your ability to manage life's challenges, and build on the strengths you already have. I think of therapy a little like a climb: progress isn't always about pushing harder. Sometimes it means pausing, reassessing, and finding your next steady hold. My goal is to help you build steadiness, clarity, and self-trust so you can move through life with more resilience.

Thank you for taking the first step of courage and making yourself a priority today. Opening yourself up and being vulnerable can be a tremendous step to your healing process. As Brene Brown says, “Vulnerability is not winning or losing, it’s having the courage to show up and be seen when we have no control over the outcome.” You are showing up for yourself today! Although the first steps can be overwhelming, I can walk with you and help guide you on the journey of healing and peace. I will always provide a safe space of acceptance and non-judgement for you to share your emotional pain, grow to love and be kind to yourself, and find the peace you deserve to heal. Remember that you are worthy and deserving of being free of the emotional pain you are experiencing. Be kind to yourself. **If you are viewing my profile for your child (3-17 years of age), I provide a calming and accepting space to assist with regulating your child's emotions. If your child is experiencing symptoms of anxiety, ADHD or difficulty focusing due to inattention or hyperactivity, or your child is lacking motivation and seems more irritable and angrier than usual, I can teach your child coping skills and strategies. My name is Amanda Chilleme, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina, as well as a Master’s Certified Addiction Professional. For over 11 years, I have supported individuals in identifying what truly matters to them, navigating obstacles, and building a foundation for a more fulfilling future. My primary specialty is working with men and women struggling with substance use disorders as well as process and behavioral addictions, helping them find a pathway to a life that feels less burdened and more aligned. I also have extensive experience treating anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorders, grief and bereavement, trauma, attachment concerns, and personality disorders. As a clinician, I take a human-focused approach. I am not here to tell you what you need to work on—you already know the what. My role is to help you understand the why, and ultimately the how: how to shift it, heal it, overcome it, or, when appropriate, let it go altogether. Your first session is best described as a two-way interview. As I listen to your story and your narrative begins to take shape, we collaboratively determine two things: Whether I am the right therapist for you, and Whether this therapeutic relationship is the right fit for both of us. If we decide to move forward together, identifying your goals becomes your first assignment. This process allows me to better understand how you think, how you interpret challenges, and how barriers such as stress, anxiety, depression, or relationship dynamics show up for you. From there, we focus on one goal at a time. I see myself as your coach, teammate, and cheerleader! Whether you are just beginning therapy or have been on this journey for some time, I invite you to plant that seed—and see just how beautifully you grow.

Yes! If you use Ambetter Health you’ll be asked to verify your Member ID at the time you book the appointment. However, if you don’t have Ambetter Health you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
