LMHC, 10 years of experience
At times, many of us carry the weight of the world on our shoulders—like walking around with a bag full of bricks. It’s time to drop the load and get on board. I am a licensed mental health therapist with 15 years of experiences in the field. My passion lies in helping clients from all walks of life addressing the challenges that weigh them down: trauma, stress, depression, anxiety, resentment, relationship struggles, low self-esteem, and anger. My goal is to support you in unpacking those heavy bricks, gaining insight, and exploring real solutions that lead to improved mental well-being. I am deeply committed to creating a safe, supportive space—one where you can begin to trust that you’re not alone. Healing is hard work, but you don’t have to do it alone. Let someone genuinely care, walk beside you, and help lighten the load.
Establishing rapport and creating a safe, open environment early on really sets the tone for the therapeutic relationship. I have experienced that when clients feel heard and understood right from the start, they're much more likely to engage fully in the process and feel comfortable sharing. Clients will share their challenges for seeking help and ask any questions they may have about the therapeutic process. I like for my clients to feel that they are in the drivers seat in session and not a passenger.
As a therapist I am compassionate and deeply invested in the well-being of my clients. My best attributes are patience and strong listening skills to truly hear clients on their healing journey. I enjoy diversity and thrive in gaining cultural understanding with having a deep level of empathy. Respect is important to me and strive to value the vulnerable time I spend with clients. I am flexible in adapting to different therapy modalities to gain the best fit for my clients. I pride myself in being loyal to helping people grow and be the best version of themselves.
I have experienced working in many different settings such as schools, treatment centers, and private practice. My clients have included children, adolescents, young adults and elderly. I work with clients experiencing challenges or seeking change in their life. Those who are ready to engage in the therapeutic process with honesty, vulnerability, and a willingness to work through their concerns. I seek clients who are ready to work collaborative, open to feedback and guidance to reach their fullest potential.
Cognitive Behavioral therapy approach (CBT) has aided me in helping guide clients in understanding the correlation between our thoughts, feelings and behaviors. I utilize this modalities because it is goal oriented and provides practical skills that clients can understand and implement in their daily lives.
I utilize Dialectical Behavior therapy (DBT) with my clients because it mirrors CBT principles while offering self-awareness and acceptance. Client are able to recognize intense emotions that are challenging, accept them as normal and learn how to positively manage them. This helps client to have healthier relationship with others and prevent self-harm behaviors as coping mechanism.
Mindfulness-Based therapy is an importance part of my work with clients. In the hustle of our daily lives it is easy to become overwhelmed. Tools of mindfulness helps clients to gain awareness in the moment of their feelings and thoughts. It helps to navigate how it impacts clients functioning in different aspects of their lives and learn tools to gain balance.
Psycho-education is as easy as it sounds. I aid clients in learning and understanding different mental health conditions. Clients gain knowledge so they can feel empowered, hopeful and in control of their challenges. It helps to normalize the experiences their are having and gain access to solutions to improve their lives.
I have utilize motivational interviewing with clients of different ages. Many client want to seek growth and change but may get discouraged or lose purpose in the process. This approach helps to guide clients in to exploring the core reasons for wanting to change, create realistic goals based on personal values. It improves the clients self-efficacy.
