I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with over 20 years of experience helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, trauma, chronic illness, and life transitions. My approach is warm, solution-focused, and deeply supportive. I use a mix of evidence-based and mind-body tools to help clients gain insight, release what’s no longer serving them, and feel more empowered in their day-to-day lives. At the heart of my work is the belief that healing happens in a space where you feel truly understood, and where growth feels both possible and sustainable.
Our first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin making meaningful progress right away. I’ll ask some thoughtful questions about what’s been feeling most challenging in your life, what’s getting in the way, and how long those patterns have been present. I may also invite you to imagine what life could look like if positive change were possible — not to put pressure on the future, but to help us start uncovering what matters most to you. It’s totally normal to feel nervous in a first session, so I do my best to keep things grounded and even use a little humor when it helps lighten the mood. My goal is for you to leave the session feeling understood, supported, and like you’ve already taken a real step forward.
Clients often tell me they feel genuinely cared for and safe in our work together — and that our sessions are not only supportive, but truly effective. I’m deeply committed to helping people get to the root of what’s causing distress, without judgment, and with the clarity and confidence that real healing is possible. My training in energy-based approaches like EFT allows me to guide clients through emotional processing in a way that feels both grounded and transformative. I especially value those moments when a client is able to look back on a painful memory and feel calm and clear, rather than overwhelmed by it. My approach also includes a mind-body lens that helps clients understand how emotional stress can affect their physical well-being — and how we can begin to shift those patterns. While I sometimes integrate spiritual or metaphysical insights when they resonate, I always tailor the work to match each client’s goals, beliefs, and comfort level.
You may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, emotionally exhausted — or just ready for something to shift. You may have done a lot of inner work already, or this could be your first step toward healing. Either way, you're someone who wants real change, not just surface-level fixes. My ideal clients are open to exploring the deeper layers of what’s going on, whether that includes stress, emotional patterns, or the way your body may be holding onto pain. You’re ready to take meaningful steps forward — and looking for a therapist who can guide you on that healing journey, offering grounded support, gentle challenges, and encouragement as you do the work that helps you feel better and truly enjoy your life.
I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to emotional distress. Together, we work collaboratively to gently challenge patterns that no longer serve them and replace them with more supportive, empowering ways of thinking.
I use Motivational Interviewing to help clients explore their own reasons for change in a supportive, non-judgmental space. By honoring ambivalence (the mixed feelings we often have about making changes) and drawing out inner motivation, we work together to strengthen confidence and commitment to making meaningful, self-directed changes.
I take a mind-body approach that recognizes the deep connection between our thoughts, emotions, and physical experiences. Using tools like EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), breathwork, and mindfulness, I help clients gently explore how stress, trauma, and emotional patterns may show up in the body—and support healing on mental, emotional, and physical levels.
