I am a Licensed Mental Health Provider/ Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Florida. I graduated with a Master in Clinical Social Work (MSW) from Florida Gulf Coast University. Before my studies at FGCU, I was in the rental business and felt that I was in my calling when I did volunteer work helping people in the US and abroad. After much thought and consulting with family and friends, I decided I wanted to work more hands on helping hurting people through counseling. My philosophy is ultimately to make a difference in the world by helping hurting people.

Are you having a difficult time getting through your day because your mind is wondering or you feel so down that you do not have any motivation? Do you feel confused because your mood is up and down?
It may seem that it is never going to stop and I will always have these issues but I want you to know there is help out there and I can help you learn what it is that you are going through and teach you skills that help manage the feelings so you have more great days than low days. I will add some humor into our sessions because sometimes our emotions get to be too much and we need to just laugh once in a while.
I love mixing different therapies because therapy techniques are not cookie cutter and one technique may work for one person but not another person. We will find what works best for you.
Seeking therapy can feel scary but you're making the right choice. You deserve a safe space to heal and grow. In our sessions together, I'll meet you with compassion and evidence-based techniques so you can overcome the concerns you have that are holding you back. Let's work together.
I am a seminary-trained clinical therapist and combat veteran with over 13 years of international experience, including service in ministry abroad. My background allows me to work thoughtfully and effectively with clients from diverse cultures, identities, belief systems, and life experiences.
I work with adults navigating challenges such as trauma, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and major life stressors. I strive to provide a respectful, collaborative, and grounded therapeutic space where clients feel understood and supported as they work toward healing, clarity, and meaningful change.
I am a bilingual (English and Spanish) licensed therapist who works with teens and adults experiencing a variety of mental health challenges. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, respected, and understood. I use proven therapy methods to help clients better understand their emotions, behaviors, and thought patterns. These include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, Solution-Focused approaches, and Motivational Interviewing. I work with individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, panic disorders, trauma, and life transitions. My approach is collaborative, meaning we work together to set goals and build coping skills that fit each person’s unique needs. I often provide practical tools—such as worksheets and exercises—to support progress outside of sessions. I aim to help clients heal, grow, and develop strategies that lead to healthier and more fulfilling lives.

With a compassionate approach and a commitment to personalized care, I strive to empower my clients to cultivate resilience, achieve balance, and thrive in all aspects of their lives. Drawing upon evidence-based practices and a client-centered approach, I provide a safe and supportive space for individuals to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Hello, I'm Amber, a dedicated and compassionate trauma-informed therapist committed to providing a safe and empathetic space for individuals on their healing journey. With a background in psychology and extensive training, I bring a holistic approach that integrates psychodynamic, person-centered, mind-body approach and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques to support clients in their path to recovery.
Incorporating a mind-body approach in therapy involves recognizing and addressing the interconnectedness of mental and physical health. This approach may include techniques such as mindfulness, deep breathing, or progressive muscle relaxation to help clients become more aware of how their thoughts and emotions influence their physical sensations. By integrating practices that focus on bodily awareness and self-regulation, therapists can help clients manage stress, reduce anxiety, and improve overall well-being.
My psychodynamic orientation allows me to help clients delve into the unconscious aspects of their psyche, understanding how past experiences shape current thoughts and behaviors. Through this exploration, we work together to identify patterns, gain insight into unresolved conflicts, and promote long-term personal growth.
In addition to the psychodynamic approach, I integrate person-centered therapy principles, emphasizing the importance of the therapeutic relationship. I believe in the inherent goodness and resilience of individuals and strive to create a space where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered to navigate their unique healing process.
Furthermore, my practice incorporates elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), focusing on identifying and challenging negative thought patterns and behaviors. This approach allows us to develop practical strategies for coping with the impact of trauma, fostering resilience and promoting positive change.
With a commitment to ongoing professional development and staying informed about the latest advancements in trauma treatment, I am dedicated to providing evidence-based and client-centered care. I am here to support you on your journey towards healing, personal empowerment, and a more fulfilling life.
Everyone needs help from time to time, but the hardest step is asking for help. Now that you’re here, you are well on your way to living the life you want. As a therapist, I am a systemic thinker. I use various talk therapies and techniques such as Narrative therapy, Solution focused brief therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Hypnotherapy, and Mindfulness techniques to help my clients live better lives. I also encourage my clients to share their faith in therapy as this can often be a huge source of strength in the healing process. I like working collaboratively with my clients to identify the problem(s) causing emotional distress in their life and alternative ways to solve their problems. I enjoy working with teenagers, individuals, couples, families and groups. Some issues I have worked with are anxiety, depression, life - transitions (e.g. school, relocations, physical illnesses), child adjustments, PTSD, and grief. I look forward to witnessing your transformation in therapy!

Hi, my name is Morgan. Do you ever feel that your life is nothing but a big puzzle and that some pieces are missing? You are not quite sure how to find those pieces. And if you do, you don't know where they fit. So you look for someone to help you find the pieces and hopefully, put them where they should go. It's not always an easy, but once completed, you feel whole. I was there once. At the age of 21, I decided to leave the U.S. and travel abroad by myself for 6 months. Then it was off to Central America. My eyes were wide open! I loved to experience different cultures. And my curiosity for differences never went away. A college mentor told me about the field of social work. So I got my MSW and thus began a new career. After years of working in the field and at various occupations, I decided to join DOD and become a Clinical Social Worker for the Navy. After 14 years of government work, I went into private practice. Now I'm here and I love it! It isn't everyone who can love what they do and do what they love. I'm waiting to hear from you; excited to hear your story and maybe share a little bit of mine so we can connect and build a rapport. You are the center of this journey and it is a humbling experience for me to be a part of it. I look forward to hearing from you.
My name is Connie Owens, I am passionate about helping women overcome trauma and Narcissistic abuse. My approach is Holistic. We will address the 4 interdependent parts of self; 1. Mind, 2. Body, 3. Soul, and 4. Spirit. I believe that we are each uniquely different and to heal all of you we will need to treat all of you. Together we will develop a plan to look at every aspect of your life to see how it contributes to causing you emotional pain, and then focus on a solution to help you overcome the emotional pain, for good.
Peace. Happiness. Love. Success. We seek them. We want them. As we see them within reach, we are knocked down by the challenges and difficulties of life. We find, instead, lives that are filled with anxiety, sadness, grief, trauma, loss and failure. I know this too well. I have experienced this in my own life and in the life of my clients. It does not matter where you are in your life. I have had celebrity clients at the top of their field. I have worked with gold medal athletes. I have worked with businessmen and women, housewives, families, adolescents. I have also worked with those who have lost everything to the ravishes of substance use and with men serving life in prison.
It is possible to navigate the dangerous waters of life, but you will need a guide. I am that guide. I have excellent education from Palm Beach Atlantic University. I have a wealth of experience. I have over three decades of experience as a husband, father, grandfather, youth pastor, counselor and university professor. I have worked in the church, private practice (in Florida and the Bahamas), community mental health (specializing in crisis and families with at-risk-adolescents), foster care, substance abuse, juvenile justice and the prisons. I have maintained my relevance by teaching at the university level, advising a best-selling author on the psychological aspects of his book, and serving as a consultant to other mental health agencies. I have wonderful experience working with anxiety, depression, anger, parenting issues, challenging children and teenagers, grief, trauma, substance use issues, family and relationship issues, LGBT issues, and other issues and concerns. I have helped my clients find peace with themselves, with others and in their situations. I have helped my clients find happiness, even amid loss. I have helped my clients find belonging and love in healthy and supportive relationships. I have helped my clients increase their ability to succeed by changing their thinking.
One of the foundations of my life and my work was written by M. Scott Peck in The Road Less Travelled. He wrote, “Life is difficult. This is a great truth, one of the greatest truths… Life is a series of problems. Do we want to moan about them or solve them? Do we want to teach our children to solve them?” Let’s start today to solve some of life’s problems and to begin to grasp peace, happiness, love and success.

A good therapist will not shame or blame you; will not try to become your parent or your buddy. They will cheer you on your journey and at times, help you see yourself in a new and different way. They will not do the work for you. They will help you keep accountable to yourself and the goals you create together in the work. They will encourage clear communication, authenticity, patience and compassion both for yourself and others.
Accountability is a necessary part of any therapeutic relationship. I require at least 24 hours' notice prior to cancelling your scheduled appointment. Same day cancellations or no shows are subject to a Grow therapy fee of $50. Similarly, if I have to cancel within 24 hours' notice your next session will be free.
The therapy process is engaged, dynamic and can be immensely satisfying. I look forward to your journey and wish you courage, compassion and power!

I went to school at Palm Beach Atlantic University for both my undergrad and masters education. Palm Beach Atlantic University is a Christian University and I feel grateful to have attended this school as it has created the person I am today. Jesus is the great counselor and I believe that we are to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
I have been working in the counseling field for 8 years and have been licensed for 4 of those years. I also believe that incorporating the use of coping skills, boundaries and communication will increase the quality of life as well as the quality of relationships.
I believe all interactions are the beginning of potential flourishing relationships. With that said, I think that as we grow in counselor and client relationships, this very relationship will better help you with your relationships with family, friends and co-workers.
I am excited to meet you and to work with you as you learn new ways to live your very best life! Thank you for letting me be a part of your journey.

Hello there! I am so happy you took the first step in reaching out. A little about me, I am first and foremost here for you. You drive how we work together. I am a gentle therapist in the way that we work together. I do not feel making anyone cry is necessary and feeling safe is of utmost importance. This does not mean you are not going to learn and improve. We will work hard and you will know I am here to work with you and not make you feel any worse than you may already feel.
I have years of experience working with individuals, couples and partners. I am also a Veteran and understand that lifestyle. I have worked with non-traditional families, taught parenting courses, worked in the schools with children, specialized for 9 years in terminal illness and end of life issues and much more. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is the approach I base most of my work on with you. This approach works well with many situations such as managing ADHD, depression, anxiety, partner/family communication and relationships, etc. Many times changing the way we think about a situation and how true our beliefs on the situations are, it will make changes in our beliefs and in turn change the way we feel (as a positive). Granted, we will ultimately work the way that fits your needs best. If you just need someone to listen, I can do that. If you are ready to dive into your current situation(s) and make them feel better, I will walk with you on that journey as well. Together we will find the answers you are searching for. I look forward to working with you. Let's take the next step together!
Ready to spill? My name is Nancy John Muricken - neuroaffirming therapist (ADHD fam I see you), chai enthusiast, and your future emotional support human (if you want me to be). I offer individual therapy grounded in clinical insight, infused with millennial energy, and flavored with a touch of South Indian spice. Being raised in the diverse neighborhoods of Queens, NY (yes, just like your friendly neighborhood Spiderman) gave me a deep cultural competence that now enrich my therapeutic approach. As someone living with progressive vision loss since I was a child, I know what it feels like when life starts to unravel. You don’t have to choose between honoring your culture and caring for your mental health, you can do both. Whether you're untangling your identity, spiraling at 3 a.m., or trying to doom-scroll your way out of an existential crisis, I got you. We’ll explore it all together.
My approach blends several therapeutic styles:
*Psychodynamic Therapy – to uncover how childhood and family dynamics still show up today (yep, we’re going there)
*CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) – to help reframe those “I’m not enough” thoughts
*Mindfulness – because sometimes we just need to breathe and not dissociate
*Culturally Sensitive, Trauma-Informed Care – to support deep insight and healing
Therapy with me is warm, collaborative, and real. We’ll laugh, cry, unpack, and grow (sometimes all in one session) You deserve a space where you don’t have to over-explain yourself, mask your emotions, or code-switch your pain.I offer that space and I bring my full, authentic self into it, so you can too. If you're ready to start healing, reclaim your story, or just want to vibe-check a therapist who gets it, book a consult or reach out. And yes, we can absolutely spill the chai together. :)
Hi,
I am Kamala, a FL and GA LMHC. I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology at Jacksonville University in 2003 and my master's in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in 2015. I have worked as a mental health counselor for five years. However, I have been in the field of helping people for 18 years, starting as a case manager at a homeless shelter and later as a special education teacher. What can I can say? People are my niche.
Helping individuals get through life's difficulties is my purpose. The thing about it is, we may not be able to live 100% symptom-free, but we can live productive, fulfilling lives even with some discomfort. That may sound daunting, but I think it's realistic. Do you know why? Because even when we get through one thing, another thing is somewhere on the timeline waiting. I'm here to help you get through your "thing" now and prepare you for your "thing" later.
Hope to meet you soon.
I am a LCSW, who has worked in an array of settings in my career. Welcome, I am Tatiana, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with over 20 years of experience, and at the heart of my work is a deep belief in women's capacity to grow, heal, and thrive. I am passionate about helping women build meaningful, fulfilling lives by focusing not on what is “wrong,” but on what is already strong. My approach is grounded in positive psychology, emphasizing your inherent strengths, resilience, and ability to grow through life’s challenges.
My specialization centers on supporting women through life’s many transitions. Whether you are navigating the excitement and uncertainty of college, the complexities of relationships and parenting, the physical and emotional shifts of menopause, or the rediscovery of self during empty nesting, therapy becomes a space for reflection, growth, and renewed purpose. Central to my work is a growth mindset approach, helping women understand that abilities, emotional skills, and confidence are not fixed, but can be developed over time through awareness, effort, and self-compassion.
For moms, I offer guidance rooted in child development, supporting you in understanding your child’s emotional, social, and cognitive needs at each stage of growth. Using a strength-based, developmentally informed approach, we work together to foster emotional intelligence, build secure attachment, and create nurturing, connected family relationships. Being a mom is not about perfection; it is about growth, repair, and learning alongside your child.
I view every life transition, whether individual or within a family, as an opportunity for meaningful growth. Together, we will identify and strengthen your unique signature strengths, build self-efficacy, cultivate optimism, and support your wellbeing so you can move through each stage of life with confidence, clarity, and a deeper sense of purpose.
My name is Susana Mejia Vargas. I am a fully bilingual (English and Spanish) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and my main focus is to help clients with unresolved trauma. I help my clients better understand the challenging aspects of traumatic events that are affecting their emotional and mental health. I will make clinical judgments about how to proceed in certain situations, but you are an expert on yourself, even if you don't feel that way.

My therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and culturally affirming. I believe in creating a space where you can show up fully—no masks, no judgment—as we work together to build insight, set boundaries, and reconnect with your inner strength.
Hello, My name is Marlea Major. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 12 years of clinical experience licensed in Florida and Georgia. My range of experience includes being a veteran, working 20 years as a first responder, counselor for inpatient care clients, Salvation Army working with clients struggling with addictions, and 8 years in the foster care system as a child therapist.
I am warm, empathetic, and believe that each person is to be treated with respect, compassion, and dignity. I don’t believe in stigmatizing labels; working as a first responder and being a Veteran I understand how difficult it can be to ask for help and realize how strong you are to reach out.
My approach is person-centered, psychoeducational, existential, and cognitive behavioral focusing on empowering and helping the individual to regain control within their lives and unique situations.
I am happy that you are taking your first step to take back your power and when you are ready, I am here to assist your journey. I look forward to working with you!
I work with teen girls and women (14+) who feel anxious, stuck, or disconnected from themselves—whether that comes from life experiences, past hurts, or just not knowing what’s next. My clients often struggle with self-doubt, people-pleasing, or emotional overwhelm, but they’re also curious, motivated, and ready to grow. I create a space that’s warm, real, and supportive—while also gently challenging you when it helps you grow. This is a place where you can be fully yourself, explore your inner world, and build clarity and confidence as you move forward. My approach is best for low- to mid-acuity clients ready for self-discovery and meaningful change.
