About me

Hello, my name is German and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. My journey to becoming a mental health provider began at a very young age. Throughout this journey, I have served adults, children and families and have assisted them in navigating many life challenges. I have learned that balancing education, work and a family comes with challenges. Allow me to provide you with education, techniques and coaching to help you navigate through whatever you are going through at this moment. I consider myself to be non-judgemental, genuine and collaborative. I would like to join you on your journey.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

If you have never been in therapy, it can be scary at first but the way I see it, sometimes we just need someone to talk to to help us navigate our current chapter or season. During the first session, we will just begin to get to know each other. It is a time to express why you chose to seek therapy and identify what you would like to see change. I offer you a safe non-judgemental place to explore new ways of doing things that will assist you in connecting or re-connecting with yourself while identifying goals for yourself.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I have an existential approach to therapy where it is client-centered and I assist by helping people find meaning, purpose, and authenticity in their lives. We often lose ourselves and our purpose while in a relationship, raising a family or grieving the loss of a loved one. I have also assisted individuals who have difficulty with acculturation like moving to a new state or immigrating from another country. I am fluently bilingual in Spanish therefore I may also help you if that is your native language and prefer a Spanish speaking therapist who understands you, your culture and your belief system.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My approach is client-centered. I like to work with individuals who like to work collaboratively to explore and discover new ways of approaching a current challenge in their lives, whether it’s anxiety, depression, the loss of a loved one or just feeling stuck and have hit a wall and can’t move forward because life is overwhelming. The challenges we are facing today at home, at work while continuing to raise our families is difficult. Let’s work together to assist you in finding work-life balance and overcoming fears that challenge us everyday.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

By using CBT, it will allow us to work together to discover irrational thought patterns and maladaptive behaviors learned along your journey. This allows us to explore negative thought patterns, where they came from and work together to identify new behaviors that will support the change or shift you are looking for.
