Welcome. I'm Tanya, and I'm here to help you feel seen, heard, and supported. Are you feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, or weighed down by past experiences? Do you find yourself repeating patterns you’re ready to break—or struggling to cope with daily stress, trauma, or emotional pain? You’re not alone—and you don’t have to navigate this on your own. My clients often describe me as warm, compassionate, intuitive, and deeply present. They’ve said things like, "She helps me think in ways I never have before," and "Working with Tanya has been life-changing—it saved my life." What sets my approach apart is the strong, trusting connection I build with my clients. That therapeutic bond is the foundation of the meaningful work we’ll do together. I take an eclectic, client-centered approach to therapy—drawing from multiple evidence-based methods to tailor your care to your unique needs. These include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Mindfulness, Somatic Experiencing, and Schema Therapy, among others. Our work together will focus on: Gaining insight into patterns and beliefs that no longer serve you Learning healthy ways to cope with stress, anxiety, or trauma Building resilience and emotional regulation skills Processing pain and fostering healing in a safe, nonjudgmental space Creating sustainable change for a more empowered, fulfilling life Therapy can be life-changing—and it starts with a conversation. I’d be honored to support you on your path toward healing and growth.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, my focus is on helping you feel safe, supported, and at ease. We'll take time to build rapport and create a space where you can exhale—knowing you won’t be judged, rushed, or pressured. I’ll walk you through what the therapeutic process looks like and answer any questions you may have. Together, we’ll begin exploring what brought you to therapy, what’s weighing on your heart or mind, and what you hope to gain from our work together. This session sets the foundation for a healing journey built on trust, collaboration, and compassion.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I offer a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can safely explore past trauma, current life stressors, and any symptoms that are impacting your well-being. One of my greatest strengths is my ability to walk with clients through the deep, meaningful work required for true healing. I’m passionate about helping you experience the growth and transformation that brought you to therapy in the first place. For clients who desire it, I thoughtfully integrate faith-based practices and Christian counseling approaches to align with your spiritual values and beliefs. Like many in this field, my journey into counseling was deeply personal. I didn’t just wake up one day and choose therapy—I was called into it by life and Christ Himself. Watching loved ones struggle with emotional pain, trauma, and challenges they didn’t know how to name or heal ignited something in me. Their stories, and my own, gave me a deep compassion for the parts of life that hurt, and a determination to walk with others through their valleys. I became a therapist because I know what it feels like to be overwhelmed, stuck, or burdened by things you didn’t ask for. I’ve seen how pain can mask potential, and how shame and anxiety can keep people from fully living. And I’ve also seen how healing happens—bit by bit, through safe relationships, honest reflection, and the courage to confront what’s been holding you back. Let’s embark on this healing journey together. You deserve to feel whole and empowered! The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Over the course of my 14-year career, I’ve had the privilege of serving individuals across every age and stage of life—men, women, couples, families, children, teens, and young adults. While I’m honored to support all people, I’ve found that those who most naturally gravitate to my practice—and often experience the deepest transformation—are women navigating trauma and anxiety rooted in past abuse. Many of these women come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or emotionally exhausted. They may struggle with people-pleasing, perfectionism, or a harsh inner critic. Some feel disconnected from themselves or unsure how to break free from patterns that no longer serve them. They’re ready to feel seen, heard, and safe enough to do the deep work that leads to true healing. If that sounds like you, I want you to know: you're not alone—and you're not broken. When you commit to our sessions, we will do the deep work. Work that honors your story, confronts pain with compassion, and opens the door to growth, empowerment, and lasting change. Together, we’ll move through the layers of what’s holding you back—at your pace, with care. Clients often describe my practice as: Dynamic, with a personalized approach to your unique needs Highly empathetic, attuned to the reality of your lived experiences A space where “a-ha” moments happen—just when you need them most Whether you're seeking relief from anxiety, clarity after trauma, or simply a path back to yourself, I’d be honored to walk with you on this journey. Let’s begin the healing you’ve been longing for.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have been integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) into my practice for over 13 years, helping clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns that lead to distressing moods and unhelpful behaviors. CBT is effective in uncovering the underlying triggers of emotional difficulties and empowering clients to break free from the cycle of negative thinking, which often leads to relief and positive change.

Schema Therapy

In addition to CBT, I have found Schema Therapy to be an invaluable tool in my practice. Schema Therapy delves deeper into understanding the root causes of clients' negative beliefs and behaviors, often tracing them back to unresolved childhood experiences or trauma. By helping clients identify and track their schemas, we can work together to disrupt maladaptive patterns and create healthier, more adaptive ways of thinking and behaving.

Christian Counseling

I also incorporate Christian Counseling into my therapeutic approach, having received specialized training from Liberty University, Northwestern Christian University, & City Life Church. This modality combines traditional therapeutic techniques with Christian interventions such as prayer, scripture reading, and biblical reflections, offering clients a faith-centered approach to healing. These practices support their Christian worldview and help them find spiritual strength during their recovery.

Eclectic

Additionally, I draw on a range of other therapeutic techniques, including Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Emotion-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, tailoring my approach to meet each client’s unique needs and goals. My aim is to provide a compassionate, integrative approach that fosters healing on both emotional and spiritual levels.
