Hello! I'm a Marriage and Family Therapist based in Florida with a master’s degree from Liberty University. With 10 years of experience, I specialize in helping adults navigate and improve their relationships—whether with spouses, significant others, children, parents, siblings, peers, or friends. My goal is to provide support and guidance to individuals and families facing relational challenges, fostering healthier connections and communication patterns.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we’ll start by getting to know each other a bit, and then we’ll talk about the challenges you're currently facing. I'll ask some questions to learn more about your life and what goals you're hoping to work on during our time together.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My educational background, along with ten years of experience as a counselor, has equipped me with extensive knowledge and expertise. With deep empathy and compassion, I am committed to supporting individuals on their path to healing.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) assists individuals in identifying and challenge negative thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to emotional distress. When we are working together, the goal is to help you learn how to reframe irrational or unhelpful thoughts, develop coping strategies, and adopt healthier ways of thinking and behaving. The benefits of CBT include gaining a deeper understanding of personal emotions, improving problem-solving skills, reducing symptoms of anxiety and depression, and building lasting tools for managing stress and difficult situations. CBT is evidence-based and often leads to long-term improvements in mental well-being.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is a therapeutic approach that centers on the role of emotions in human functioning and relationships. Developed by Dr. Susan Johnson, EFT is based on the idea that emotions are key to understanding how individuals respond to the world and to each other. In therapy, the focus is on helping clients become more aware of their emotional experiences, express their feelings more effectively, and create more secure emotional bonds with others. EFT is particularly effective for couples, as it addresses attachment-related issues and helps partners understand and respond to each other's emotional needs. By transforming negative emotional patterns, EFT aims to build stronger, more supportive relationships and enhance emotional well-being, fostering greater connection and understanding between individuals.

Structural Family Therapy

Structural Family Therapy focuses on understanding and changing the interactions and relationships within a family system that contribute to emotional and behavioral problems. The central idea of Structural Family Therapy is that problems in individuals are often reflections of dysfunctions in the family structure—how roles, boundaries, hierarchies, and patterns of interaction are organized and maintained within the family.
