LCSW, 16 years of experience
i, I’m Colleen—Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 16 years of experience helping clients navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity and confidence. I work with individuals who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or in transition—whether they’re dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, or relationship struggles. My approach combines evidence-based techniques with compassionate, client-centered care to create a safe space for healing, growth, and lasting emotional resilience.
In our first session, my focus is on getting to know you—what you’re seeking support for, what your past experience with therapy has been, and what’s felt hard to navigate on your own. I’ll be listening closely to your story so we can identify the challenges you’re facing and the goals you’d like to work toward—whether that’s one month, six months, or a year from now. Together, we’ll begin outlining a personalized plan, explore what’s been getting in the way, and walk through realistic strategies to help you move forward. You’ll leave the session with more clarity around what you're facing and a “here’s what I can do right now” mindset. And there will always be space for open communication and shared accountability as we move through this work together.
What sets my approach apart is the way I use an integrative approach—blending evidence-based methods with a deeply personalized, compassionate style. I don’t just focus on symptom management—I help clients get to the root of what’s really going on so they can experience real, lasting change. Clients often tell me they finally feel seen and supported, and that our work together helps them feel more grounded, emotionally resilient, and clear about their next steps. I’m not here to “fix” you—I’m here to walk with you through the hard stuff, ask the right questions, and help you reconnect with your strength.
If you're feeling anxious, heavy, or stuck in your own head, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to keep doing it all on your own. Just being here is a powerful first step, and I want to acknowledge the courage it takes to explore therapy. Let’s be real—starting this process can feel empowering, confusing, or even scary, all at once. I strive to create a safe, supportive space where you can unpack what’s weighing on you and begin to move toward clarity and relief. I support clients who are ready for something to shift—who are tired of overthinking everything, feeling numb, or just going through the motions. In our work together, we’ll explore what’s getting in the way, whether that’s anxiety, depression, low self-worth, or a lack of boundaries and self-care. We’ll focus on building healthier communication, stronger boundaries (with yourself and others), and real tools to help you feel more like you again. Therapy can be the space where you reconnect with your strength, your values, and the life you deeply want. If that’s what you’re looking for, I’m here when you're ready.
Throughout my 16 years in clinical practice, I’ve consistently used CBT to help clients reframe limiting beliefs, manage anxious thought patterns, and develop healthier coping strategies.
For clients who seek faith-based support, I’ve spent 16 years weaving biblical truth, prayer, and spiritual reflection into therapy to help them heal and grow in alignment with their values and beliefs.
With over 16 years of experience, I take an integrative approach that blends clinical therapy with holistic and functional modalities to support the whole person—mind, body, and spirit.
Over the past 16 years, I’ve used Motivational Interviewing to help clients uncover their internal motivation, overcome resistance, and take empowered steps toward meaningful change.
Drawing from more than a decade and a half of practice, I incorporate mindfulness techniques to help clients reduce stress, regulate their nervous system, and build greater emotional awareness and resilience.
