In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Establishing a warm, empathetic connection Helping clients identify and process emotions Beginning to understand their current challenges and strengths Introducing evidence-based approaches you may use (EMDR, MRT, MBTI insights, etc.) Providing clarity and support within a sensitive, spiritually attuned framework
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
Connecting naturally with people from all backgrounds Offering empathy, clarity, and emotional healing Helping others process emotions and identify their strengths Teaching and equipping others for spiritual and personal growth Leadership development, communication skills, career guidance, and goal setting Working effectively with both clinical and ministry-based populations Strong organizational and creative abilities (e.g., building homes, designing curriculum)
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
Individuals recovering from chemical dependency or managing co-occurring mental health concerns People navigating grief and bereavement Women, couples, and ministerial couples/families facing life transitions Individuals needing support with career planning, leadership development, and psychoeducation Those seeking spiritually sensitive counseling, personal growth, or emotional healing Clients in need of recidivism prevention or moral decision-making support (MRT)
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
I use it to focus on emotions, because they are powerful drivers of behavior. I also incorporate attachment theory, which explains our drive for safety and connection in relationships. It can help people communicate more productively, and also help create empathy. A tool I use is the TEMPO tool to help process feelings and trauma.
