Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I received my Masters from the Florida State University in 2015. I have been practicing for 10 years. I have extensive experience supporting adults and young adults navigating life stressors, anxiety, and transitions. Through a warm and collaborative approach, my focus is on building a strong therapeutic relationship rooted in trust, empathy, and authenticity, creating a safe space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to make meaningful change.
In our first session, we will start with introductions and rapport building. In order for one to begin the work, you must first feel safe and vulnerable to do so. We will go over confidentiality policies, get to know you as the client and why you are seeking therapy. We will clarify goals, establish if we are good fit for one another and create treatment plan moving forward.
My experience spans working with individuals navigating life stressors, including anxiety, transitions, burnout, and relationship challenges. Using CBT, I help clients identify and reframe unhelpful thought patterns. Motivational Interviewing allows me to gently guide clients through ambivalence and into action, especially when change feels overwhelming. And mindfulness has been a transformative tool—both personally and professionally—for helping clients build emotional regulation and presence in their lives. Over time, I’ve developed a strong intuition for when to challenge and when to support, when to listen deeply, and when to guide with direction. That balance, combined with continuous learning and compassion, is what makes me effective.
I love working with clients who are self-aware, growth-oriented adult who may be going through a major life transition—such as a breakup, career shift, relocation, or identity shift—and feels overwhelmed, stuck, or anxious. They may appear high functioning on the outside but internally feel disconnected, self-critical, or uncertain. They're ready for change, open to introspection, and want a safe, grounded space to make sense of what they're feeling and who they're becoming.
I’ve had training in MI principles and have applied it across a range of interactions—especially in helping clients explore their own reasons for change rather than feeling pressured. This technique is rooted in empathy, reflective listening, and evoking the individual’s own motivations and values.
I’ve received training in CBT techniques and have applied them in work with individuals dealing with a wide range of concerns—such as anxiety, depression, and behavioral challenges. My experience includes structured CBT sessions, both short-term and long-term, tailored to each client’s specific goals and presenting issues. I also integrate CBT principles into less formal settings when needed, always adapting to the client’s readiness and learning style.
I’ve used mindfulness both as a standalone intervention and as an integrated tool alongside other modalities like CBT. My experience includes working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, chronic pain, and emotional dysregulation.
