I didn’t become a therapist because I believed life should be perfect—I became a therapist because I know how complex, messy, and deeply human life can be.
Over the years, I’ve sat with many people navigating anxiety, overwhelming life transitions, relationship struggles, and the quiet pressure to “hold it all together.” My goal in therapy is to create a space where you don’t have to do that alone. A space where you can show up exactly as you are—without judgment—and begin to make sense of what you’re carrying.
My work is rooted in compassion, curiosity, and the belief that healing happens when people feel truly seen and understood. I often work with adults who feel stretched between responsibilities, expectations, and their own emotional needs. I also have a special place in my heart for supporting women and mothers as they move through pregnancy, postpartum changes, and the many emotional layers of parenthood.
In our work together, I integrate evidence-based approaches, including EMDR, while also focusing on practical tools that help regulate the nervous system and create meaningful change in everyday life. Therapy with me is collaborative—we work together to understand patterns, process difficult experiences, and help you move toward the life you want to build.
I founded my practice with the intention of creating a space that feels warm, supportive, and human. A place where both clients and clinicians can feel safe to grow, reflect, and reconnect with themselves.
Outside of my work, I value time with my family, creativity, and designing environments that feel calm, comforting, and restorative—because I believe the spaces we create, both internally and externally, play an important role in healing.

I am pleased to know that you have decided to seek therapy! Life can be very challenging at times and sometimes we need to talk to someone that understands us and helps us get back to our stable/normal self. I hope I can be part of this part of your healing journey.
Do you feel overwhelmed these days? Are you constantly trying to strike a balance between the demands of work and parenting or co-parenting, while also managing your health, housework, and perhaps other demands? In your family, does the caretaking always fall to you? Are you experiencing depression and anxiety in reaction to either a past trauma and/or burnout from stress? I work with women who are experiencing what I like to call "multiple-role fatigue". I have experience in treating depression, anxiety, and trauma-related stress disorders common to women who face an ever-mounting load of responsibilities in a complex society, where being a mother or a caretaker often comes with diverse challenges and responsibilities. I also like to work with clients on their recovery from trauma. With this in mind, I incorporate various treatment modalities, where healing and recovery can take place through a combination of compassionate conversation, active listening, homework assignments journaling, mindfulness, self-reflection, cognitive behavior therapy, grief counseling, boundary setting and trauma-informed care. I also offer a faith-based support, where clients seeking a Christian approach are welcome.
I like to form a supportive alliance with caregivers to help them navigate the demands of parenting a child or children with higher needs. I focus on parental needs, and I work with clients using evidence-based techniques to empower them to achieve balance and experience lasting well-being. For parents, I'm a big advocate of self-care, and I help my clients learn to nurture themselves in a sustainable way to avoid burnout. I also believe that parents need to feel seen and heard, and the stress of parenting cannot be overemphasized. Forming a partnership with parents, giving them a forum in which they feel consistently supported in a compassionate and non-judgmental way, therefore, is one of my top priorities as a therapist.

I use a balanced approach that allows my client to work through current and past issues that are preventing them from moving forward. I tend to use a Cognitive Behavioral approach with an emphasis on Mindfulness. However, I believe in utilizing an approach that is best for my client this may also include Dialectical Behavioral or Solution Focused therapies.

I am a licensed clinical social worker LCSW, licensed in the state of Florida with over 10 years of experience working as a psychotherapist. I graduated from the University of South Florida with a B.A. in Psychology, cum laude, and a minor in Public Administration. I then obtained my MSW in Clinical Social Work from Columbia University where I graduated summa cum laude. I have worked with clients ranging from children as young as age 5, to late adulthood that suffer from a wide array of concerns: Anxiety, ADHD, Addiction, Bipolar I and II, comorbid disorders, depression, couples counseling, LGBTQ+ issues, OCD, PTSD, and trauma.
My life experiences are what led me to become a therapist and shaped my deep commitment to supporting others on their healing paths. Over the years, I’ve worked in a wide range of settings — schools, jails, hospitals, and private practice — which has given me a broad understanding of how people cope, survive, and grow in very different environments.
I have specialized training in TF‑CBT, DBT, ACT, EMDR, autism, and women’s mental health, including and perimenopausal/menopausal concerns. These areas of focus allow me to support women across the full spectrum of emotional, hormonal, and life transitions. I look forward to walking alongside you as we navigate this journey together. I am an Illinois and Wisconsin Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) who has extensive experience working with individuals, groups, couples, and families. I earned my Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from Benedictine University, where the prominent perspective was person-centered therapy. I have worked with several different client populations including couples with marriage difficulties, adults struggling with depression, anxiety, and other life adjustment issues, physically and sexually abused adolescents and adults, adolescents with mental health issues related to school, home, adjustment, or mental illness, and even adolescents and adults on the verge of suicide. In working with these populations, I have gained vast experience in family dynamics and feel it is important to focus on the whole system, especially when a child is involved. I have also been trained in DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and I feel many adults and adolescents could greatly benefit from learning these skills. God is our ultimate counselor and His word is referenced and prayed from as part of the healing process.

What would it feel like to be heard, to know that you are valued and cared about and to believe that there is real hope for your future? Are you struggling, anxious, grieving, overwhelmed? You are not alone. Life is really hard right now. You deserve self care and support. Difficult and painful experiences can leave us feeling disconnected from ourselves and others. As both a Wisconsin and Florida licensed mental health counselor (LPC, LMHC), I offer you a safe place to talk about and explore all those concerns.
Hi! I'm Kat, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I work with adults, couples, and teens who are dealing with anxiety, stress, relationship problems, and the pressures of daily life. I believe therapy can be a place to slow down and better understand what's behind the challenges you're facing.
My journey in mental health began working with people in crisis. Since then, I have worked in many different settings, including doctor's offices, intensive group programs, and private practice. These experiences taught me that mental health is about the whole person, body, spirit, and the people around you. Over the years, I have gotten really good at helping people who are dealing with grief, depression, anxiety, and addiction.
My approach is warm, gentle, and free of judgment. I want you to feel safe being yourself and talking openly about hard feelings, past experiences, or patterns in your relationships. I believe real change comes from both understanding yourself and feeling supported. I work together with my clients to help them communicate better and take better care of themselves. Sometimes my job as a therapist is to challenge old beliefs that are holding you back. Therapy can bring comfort, but it can also help you face hard feelings and learn how to work through them.

Younger children may enjoy incorporating games and puppets into care while older youth may benefit from creative activities, exploration of media, or collaborative projects. Clients of all ages may benefit from support through bibliotherapy, hypnosis, or NLP (Neurolinguistic Programming).
Greetings, I'm Marianna Birdsong, an LCSW situated in Southern California, offering telehealth services statewide. My practice specializes in aiding adults facing anxiety, stress, and life transitions through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Client-Centered Therapy, tailored to meet individual needs. I believe therapy should be customized for each client. I primarily employ CBT and Client-Centered Therapy but remain flexible to adapt techniques as required.

Hi! I'm Sandy. Do you feel pulled in a million directions, like you can't keep up with work, relationships, and your own health all at once? Is it hard to be kind to yourself these days? I help people work through anxiety, depression, and self-doubt, along with big life transitions and the effects of trauma. Together, we'll figure out what isn't working and help you find your balance again. I use a whole-person approach, which means we won't just talk about your thoughts. We'll also pay attention to how stress and emotions show up in your body and your day-to-day life.
Whether you're navigating a major life change, stuck in cycles of anxiety and depression, or carrying the weight of past trauma, I'm here to help. I know starting therapy can feel like a big step, but choosing to show up for yourself is something to be proud of. You deserve a safe space to heal and grow. In our sessions, I'll bring compassion along with proven techniques to help you work through the habits and patterns that are holding you back. Let's work on this together.
