(she/her)
If you’re feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, stress, or past experiences that still affect you today, you don’t have to carry it alone. I work with BIPOC adults ages 18 to 65 who are navigating trauma, self-doubt, and the pressure to always be strong for others. My goal is to create a space where you feel understood, respected, and supported. My work is grounded in cultural awareness, compassion, and honesty. I use approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, person-centered therapy, and trauma-informed care, but I focus less on labels and more on what actually helps you feel better in your daily life. Together, we look at patterns that feel stuck and gently challenge the beliefs or experiences that may be holding you back. I take a collaborative and active approach to therapy. That means we work as a team. I will support you at a pace that feels safe, while also encouraging insight, practical tools, and meaningful change that lasts beyond our sessions.
In our first session, we’ll spend time getting to know each other and talking about what brought you to therapy. I’ll ask about your background, current challenges, and what you hope will be different in your life. There is no pressure to share more than you’re ready for. This first meeting is about building comfort and trust. You can expect a calm, supportive environment where you feel heard. By the end of the session, we’ll begin outlining a plan that feels clear and tailored to your needs.
One of my greatest strengths is creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can be honest about what you’re going through. I bring warmth, empathy, and curiosity to each session so you feel supported, not rushed or dismissed. I also balance compassion with practical tools. Clients often appreciate that our work is both reflective and actionable. You won’t just talk about problems—you’ll leave with skills and insights you can use in your everyday life.
I work best with teenagers and adults between the ages of 13 and 64 who are navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, and challenges related to relationships, work, or family dynamics. Many of the clients I support feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or unsure how to move forward in their personal or professional lives. Some are dealing with ongoing stress, while others may be adjusting to major life changes such as career pressures, family conflict, or shifting roles and responsibilities. I provide individual therapy for men and women who want a supportive, nonjudgmental space to process their thoughts and emotions. Clients who work well with me are often motivated to better understand themselves, build healthier coping strategies, and create meaningful change in their lives. Together, we focus on identifying patterns that may contribute to distress and developing practical tools to support emotional balance, clearer boundaries, and improved well-being. I also support teenagers who may be struggling with school stress, self-esteem concerns, social pressures, or family conflict. Therapy offers them a safe environment to express their feelings, strengthen emotional awareness, and learn skills to manage challenges now and as they grow into adulthood. My approach is collaborative and grounded in helping clients feel heard, understood, and empowered. Whether someone is working through anxiety, managing symptoms of depression, or seeking personal growth, therapy can provide the structure and support needed to move toward a healthier and more balanced life.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I use a person-centered approach because I believe real change happens when people feel understood and accepted for who they are. In my experience, this method helps clients feel safe enough to open up and explore what they’re going through at their own pace. I listen closely, reflect back what I hear, and support clients in finding their own answers rather than telling them what to do. My role is to create a supportive space where clients can build confidence, self-awareness, and trust in themselves.
