My name is Juliet Stephenson, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor dedicated to helping individuals find emotional wholeness, clarity, and peace. I believe that therapy is a powerful space for healing—where your experiences are honored, your voice is heard, and your growth is supported with compassion and clinical care. My passion is working with adolescents, adults, and families who have experienced trauma, relationship challenges, stress, and emotional overwhelm. With years of experience in inpatient, outpatient, and residential treatment settings, I bring a trauma-informed, client-centered, and spiritually grounded approach to healing.In a world that feels increasingly fast-paced and demanding, it’s easy to lose sight of your own needs. Therapy can be the place where you choose yourself again. My role is to offer a steady, compassionate presence as you navigate your personal “becoming” journey. I like to say my niche is trauma, with that I approach the healing process in a chronological stance. I believe inner strength comes from within and so healing all the girls/boys within is the key to the "Becoming" journey.
I help clients navigate: Trauma and childhood emotional wounds Anxiety, depression, and life transitions Family and relationship concerns Low self-esteem and identity struggles Faith-based concerns (for clients who desire this) Grief, loss, and recovery from unhealthy patterns. I integrate evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, mindfulness-based techniques, solution-focused strategies, and narrative work. I believe no single approach fits all, so I tailor therapy to your unique needs, culture, values, and goals. To Assist client in identifying maladaptive thoughts and cognitive distortions. Teach clients thought reframing and cognitive restructuring. Encourage journaling to increase awareness of emotions and patterns.
EMDR helps clients: Process overwhelming emotional experiences Reduce affective reactivity Strengthen their ability to tolerate distress Respond to triggers with more stability In virtual practice this is done to expand treatment options and to Increase effectiveness with trauma and complex trauma with different BLS techniques.
Psychoeducation provide education about stress, adjustment disorders, emotional regulation, boundaries, and coping skills as the processing and discussing of normal vs. unhealthy stress responses are being explored
