New to Grow
Hi, I'm Kat, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida. I work with teens and adults who are struggling with anxiety, stress, overwhelm, relationship challenges, and difficulty coping with life's demands. I believe therapy can be a place to slow down, feel supported, and better understand what's contributing to the challenges you're facing. My approach is warm, gentle, grounded, and nonjudgmental. I aim to create a space where you feel safe being yourself and talking openly about difficult emotions, experiences, or relationship patterns. I believe meaningful change happens through both insight and practical support, and I work collaboratively with clients to help them build healthier ways of coping, communicating, and caring for themselves. Since 2013, I've worked with individuals across many stages of life and have experience supporting people through stress, trauma, caregiving challenges, emotional overwhelm, and life transitions. My goal is to help you feel more connected to yourself, more confident in handling challenges, and better able to find calm and balance in your daily life.
In our first session, we'll spend time getting to know each other and talking about what brought you to therapy. I'll ask questions about different areas of your life, including your relationships, stressors, emotional experiences, and strengths, so I can better understand what support may be most helpful for you. I understand that starting therapy can feel vulnerable or intimidating, so I aim to create a comfortable and supportive environment where you feel heard and respected. You're always welcome to ask questions and move at a pace that feels right for you.
One of the biggest strengths I bring into therapy is my ability to create a calm, supportive, and compassionate space where clients feel comfortable opening up. My background in caregiving and crisis mental health settings has deepened my understanding of how stress, trauma, and life experiences can affect people in very different ways. I value building genuine connections with clients and helping them develop both insight and practical tools they can use outside of sessions. I strive to meet each person where they are while supporting meaningful and lasting growth.
I really enjoy working with clients of many backgrounds and experiences, including those who are experiencing: relationship challenges and conflict, trouble with mood and coping, anxiety and stress. Those who are looking to improve emotional awareness, communication and finding strategies to have inner calm. If you are are looking to improve your insight, coping, and mood I can help you in these areas.
