Claire Fountain
Are you feeling stuck in past trauma, tending to grief, or facing challenges in your relationships, career, confidence, and/or relationship to your body? I work with individuals—especially women—seeking to heal, reclaim their self-worth, and live more empowered lives. You may be going through life transitions, dealing with emotional wounds, or looking for relief from anxiety and overwhelm. As a yoga, embodiment, and mindfulness teacher for over a decade, I combine mind-body practices to help you find balance, ease, and space to reconnect with yourself. I'm glad you're here. There is a soft, safe place to land.
First session
I understand the courage it takes to seek support. You deserve to feel whole, free, and fully yourself. My humanist and trauma-informed approach offers compassionate care in a warm environment. Together, we'll develop a personalized approach to help you feel your best.
Strengths
I specialize in navigating trauma, anxiety, and life stresses through holistic healing (somatic therapy, EMDR, and mindfulness). I specifically hold space for those in creative, high-stress, and/or public-facing roles. I am sex-positive and sexuality/gender/kink affirmative. I believe wellness is a human right, and bring my whole heart to our work together.
Ideal clients
I work with individuals—especially women—seeking to heal, reclaim their self-worth, and live more empowered lives. You may be going through life transitions, past trauma, dealing with emotional wounds, or looking for relief from anxiety, overwhelm, emotional labor, or way too much of the mental load. As a yoga, embodiment, and mindfulness teacher for over a decade, I combine mind-body practices to help you find balance, ease, and space to reconnect with yourself. I specifically hold space for those in creative, high-stress, and/or public-facing roles.
Treatment methods
EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is an accelerated healing approach that goes beyond talk therapy to process old programming, traumatic experiences, limiting beliefs, and shift how memories are stored in our brains and felt in our bodies
Somatic
Somatic therapy will focus on the sensations of the body and exploring felt sense through movement and awareness.
Feminist
Feminist theory (sometimes aligned with multicultural counseling) focuses a great deal on how a person’s identity and relationships are shaped by and affected by gender, culture, sexuality, and other marginalized identities. It also always looks at power and power dynamics, while aiming to develop an egalitarian relationship with the client.
