Hi, I’m Tommy. I’m glad you’re here. Reaching out for support can feel like a big step, and you don’t have to navigate it alone. With over 22 years of experience, I’ve worked with individuals, couples, and families facing mental health and substance use challenges. I’ve found that most people already have a sense of the life and relationships they want—they just need the right support to get there. My role is to walk alongside you as a steady, nonjudgmental partner—whether you’re working through personal struggles, relationship conflict, or family disconnection. I help clients improve communication, rebuild trust, and create stronger, more meaningful connections. My approach is grounded in compassion, practical tools, and a deep respect for your unique story. Together, we’ll focus on what’s working, what’s getting in the way, and how to help you feel more in control, connected, and at peace. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified Addictions Professional, and I’m committed to helping you create real, sustainable progress in your life and relationships.
In our first session, we’ll begin by understanding what’s been happening in your life or relationships and what feels most important to address right now. Whether you’re coming in individually or as a couple or family, we’ll explore patterns, communication dynamics, and the challenges that may be creating distance or disconnection. I’ll help guide the conversation in a way that allows everyone to feel heard and respected, while also identifying clear next steps toward healing, growth, and stronger connection.
My approach is rooted in positive psychology and a deep respect for the strengths each person brings into the room. Rather than focusing on blame or criticism, I help individuals, couples, and families recognize what’s already working—and use those strengths to navigate challenges more effectively. Whether we’re working on personal growth or relationship dynamics, I’ll guide you in building awareness, improving communication, and creating solutions that feel both practical and lasting.
My ideal client is someone who feels stuck—caught in patterns they can name but haven't yet broken—and is ready to do something different. Whether you're navigating this on your own or alongside a partner, you're not looking for someone to simply listen; you're looking for a partner in the work of real change. You may feel overwhelmed right now, but underneath that is a readiness I can already sense: a willingness to look honestly at what isn't working and the courage to build something better. If you're tired of surviving the same cycles and ready to finally move through them, you're exactly who I'm here for.

I use this method of treatment to help clients navigate through the difficulties they may face in their day to day life journeys. In this particular technique the client and their memory lead the process and I facilitate the experience. Less directive than normal talk therapy.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
In my practice, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is an invitation to reclaim authorship of your own mind. Together, we identify the thought patterns quietly shaping your reality, challenge what no longer serves you, and rebuild a foundation rooted in truth rather than fear. CBT gives us the tools—but the real work is awakening to the power you've always had to choose differently and step into the version of yourself you were always capable of becoming.
Couples Counseling
In my practice, couples therapy is an invitation to rebuild connection from the ground up. Together, we uncover the patterns quietly driving conflict, learn to truly hear one another beneath the words, and replace old cycles of hurt with intentional, honest communication. I provide the tools and structure—but the real work is awakening to the relationship you both still believe is possible, and choosing each other, again, with new understanding.
Culturally Sensitive Therapy
In my practice, healing honors who you are—your history, your culture, your story. Together, we create space where your identity is never something to explain or minimize, but a source of strength we build from. I bring clinical care and cultural humility into every session—but the real work is awakening to the truth that you don't have to shrink yourself to be understood, and that healing can finally feel like home.

Tommy McGee came highly recommended so far he is very much in tune with the conversation, highly intelligent. At the same time you don’t feel like you’re talking to a therapist. You are conversing with an unbiased friend.
