Hi, I am a Marriage and Family Therapist licensed in California for 20 years and I hold a doctorate degree in the Philosophy of Counseling. I am in my second marriage for 30 years now, after my 24-year first marriage failed. We have seven children between the two of us, 31 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. I have had good success counseling couples who have given up on their relationship, especially those who have experienced infidelity. I don't counsel children until they are 18. I enjoy helping people understand how they became the way they are and therefore find ways to leave dysfunction behind.
I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 18 years of experience helping adults and couples work through anxiety, depression, addiction, grief, relationship struggles, and life transitions. My style is warm, real, and supportive, the kind of space where you can take a breath, be yourself, and not feel judged. I work collaboratively, pulling from CBT, psychodynamic, mindfulness, and person-centered approaches to support your goals. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just need someone steady to talk things through, we’ll move at your pace and figure it out together. Therapy can feel like a big step, I’m here to make it feel less intimidating and more like a real, healing connection.
I love partnering with people on their journey to greatness. I use a strengths-based approach to help my clients see the choices that are always at their disposal to unlearn past harmful messaging or combat unrelenting present symptoms. As a Black woman, I always integrate the importance of diversity. Playing small to blend in doesn't serve anyone. Whether we're different based on external or internal attributes, we all need to embrace our beautiful and different qualities so that we can live an authentic life.
My work also focuses on boundaries, challenging thoughts, and improving communication skills. I integrate role plays, affirmations, accountability, and direct introspection exercises to aid clients in quieting the noise of societal norms to embrace their true joy. All sessions are client-focused, I don't come with my own agenda. I'm excited to help you live life with confidence on your own terms. I look forward to working with you.

Hello! I’m Sandra V. Chávez, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Registered Psychological Assistant with the California Board of Psychology. I’m passionate about helping individuals grow both personally and emotionally through client-centered, solution-focused, and cognitive behavioral therapies.
As a first-generation Latina, I learned ambition, tenacity, and determination from my parents. My educational journey includes dual bachelor’s degrees in Liberal Arts and Sciences and Psychology, as well as a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology. I’m currently on the path to becoming a licensed psychologist. Before entering the mental health field, I worked as a nurse and briefly attended medical school in Southern California. That experience deepened my interest in understanding the brain, human development, and the impact of environmental factors on behavior.
I specialize in supporting clients through mood disorders, life transitions, and self-empowerment challenges. My strengths lie in helping individuals develop emotional intelligence, identify, and understand their emotions. I believe therapy should be tailored to each person’s unique needs, which is why I use an integrative, eclectic approach that draws from evidence-based methods and holistic practices, including mindfulness and positive psychology.
I also enjoy working with individuals who incorporate their faith into their mental health journey. For those open to incorporating their faith as a tool for healing, I create a safe, welcoming space where spirituality and therapy work hand in hand.
Above all, I value building a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship. My goal is to offer a non-judgmental environment where your thoughts and emotions are respected and where real progress can be made. Together, we’ll explore strategies, assignments, and tools that help you overcome life’s hurdles and achieve lasting personal growth and fulfillment.
Let’s begin this journey together!
I am a licensed marriage and family therapist and registered art therapist providing telehealth services to TN and CA residents. As a practicing visual artist for 22 years I understand the psychological, emotional, financial and lifestyle challenges that creatives face in a world that prioritizes capitalism over creativity. I will help you to use your unique gifts and talents in order to live your life in the fullest expression of yourself.
I offer a space where your pain can soften, your story can unfold gently, and you can be met with warmth and compassion without judgment. I draw from CBT, TF-CBT, MI, mindfulness, and person-centered, holistic practices — not as rigid techniques, but as tools we weave into the moments when you need grounding, clarity, or a way to steady yourself. Over time, your voice gets stronger. Your patterns make more sense. And the parts of you that learned to survive begin to feel safe enough to soften.
I am a therapist with over seven years of experience in community mental health, where I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals of all ages, backgrounds, identities, and mental health challenges. I’m passionate about creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel seen, heard, and valued as they share their stories.
Clients often describe me as warm, empathetic, and—when appropriate—a bit sarcastic. I strive to meet people where they are while also helping them recognize their capacity for growth and change. My goal is to support clients in building insight, developing healthier patterns, and moving toward a more fulfilling and balanced life.

Trained in a range of therapeutic approaches, I am available to help clients navigate trauma, anxiety, relational issues, communication skills, depression, and stress management . As a first generation Eritrean American born and raised in the Bay Area, I struggled with a sense of belonging throughout my adolescence, often straddling the line between multiple identities and insecurities surrounding the idea of not being “American enough" and not being “African enough.” Early on in college, I took a psychology class that helped me further understand the human condition and its applications in my own life. I learned transformative concepts in terms of moods, relationships, and behaviors, prompting me to further pursue the field of psychology. Since then, I have taken it upon myself to get advanced training in various therapeutic approaches, which I believe help clients get the most out of their therapy experience.

Hi there, I am Joanna
Have you ever gone to therapy and found it hard to open up because the sessions appear rigid and impersonal, and maybe you felt judged? In my practice is my goal to lead sessions in a non-judgmental way, with the belief that clients are the experts in their own lives. I like to describe my relationship with clients as a relationship among equals. My role in the session is to help you process some of the challenges you are experiencing and offer skills that can help create the change you want to see in your life. My theoretical orientation is dialectical behavioral therapy and I try to hold the balance between acceptance and change, this means accepting that although things might be difficult at this moment we can learn new behaviors so life can be improved. My goal is to help clients increase their overall satisfaction in life and relationships. I am also trained in trauma work to help clients process traumatic experiences.
Hello! My name is Pa. I am an individual, mother, wife, daughter, and a Hmong-American woman. I became a psychotherapist because I grew up witnessing how mental health is often dismissed in diverse ethnic communities. I saw how generational trauma affects our minds, bodies, and souls. These experiences fueled my passion to become a therapist who can connect and support individuals with diverse backgrounds. I specialize in working with individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. I take a client-centered approach where I tailor our sessions to address your needs and goals. I provide a safe and supportive space for you to just be yourself. Together, we will identify and set goals that address your needs and concerns. We can also adjust and change goals as needed to adapt to the evolution of your journey.
Welcome! If you are looking for a therapist that is easy to talk to, makes you feel at ease, and has over 17 years of experience and expertise.... you found one! Seeking out a therapist is not a sign of weakness, it indicates that you have been dealing with stressors and/or losses, that have become too much for you to manage on your own. I love what I do because I am able to see my clients transform and grow through the therapy process. Whatever you are going through, I can help you regain your emotional and mental well-being. I obtained my master's from the University of Southern California (USC).
I specialize in treating anxiety and panic attacks. I know how painful and scary severe anxiety can be, as I have experienced it myself. Allow me to help you with my expertise and experience to recover and regain your emotional well-being!
My goal in my counseling is to help my clients live deeply fulfilling lives. I help clients increase their psychological flexibility through various tools and approaches including evidence-based Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to change their thought patterns. I use experiential approaches including Hypnotherapy to work with subconscious minds and remove blocks that are deep in their psyche. I also provide mindfulness training, which is one of the key techniques for the clients to be more present and accepting in their lives, rather than react reflexively.
Each individual's struggles are complex and tied to many factors including their social environment, their physical health, the phases of their lives, skills they already possess, etc. In other words, change can happen in a variety of ways and that's what counseling can help with, pointing out the direction and even the next steps that can help the client to get to their goals and intentions.
I work with clients experiencing sleep disorders, chronic pain, anxiety, mood issues, ADHD, career counseling, and those who simply need a tune-up.
Hi there and great job on taking that first step in considering if therapy is right for you. Whether it’s life’s little annoying stressors or more complex issues, as a trauma survivor myself, I know firsthand what this is like and wouldn’t wish it on anyone. Whether you choose me or another therapist, make the choice to just give it a try. Sometimes all you need is another person to hold the light while you do the work you need to heal.

I specialize in working with adults, young adults, and adolescents who are struggling with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, women's mental health concerns, trauma, relationship issues, and the challenges that arise during life's many transitions.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and person-centered. I believe that healing begins in a space where you feel safe, heard, and understood. I provide a compassionate, nonjudgmental environment where clients can openly explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences without fear of criticism or shame. Together, we identify the concerns that are impacting your well-being and develop meaningful goals tailored to your unique needs and strengths.
Hello, I'm Cameron and many of my clients are adults and couples who present as successful on the outside but internally struggle with burnout, anxiety, self-doubt, trauma, and/or feeling disconnected in their relationships. They find themselves stuck in cycles of overthinking, people-pleasing, or unhealthy communication patterns that leave them feeling insecure or emotionally distant. I help individuals and couples heal and move forward and learn skills to feel more confident, connected, and emotionally secure.
I work with teens and young adults who are dealing with anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, and self-esteem concerns. I take a relational, integrative approach and focus on creating a space that feels warm, supportive, and judgment free.
I believe therapy works best when you feel comfortable being yourself. Together, we’ll build insight, develop practical tools, and work toward positive changes that feel realistic and meaningful for you.
Are you stuck in conflict-with your partner, your teenager, a family member, or even within yourself? Do you find yourself questioning your worth, overthinking your relationships, or feeling overwhelmed with anxiety? You don't have to figure it out alone. Therapy can help you understand the patterns that keep you stuck and build healthier ways of connecting with yourself and the people you care about. I help teens and adults build confidence, manage anxiety, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful, lasting change. I also help parents strengthen their connection with their teens while reducing conflict at home.
My approach is compassionate, relational and trauma-informed, integrating mindfulness, CBT, DBT, psychodynamic and narrative principles to support insight and healing.
