New to Grow
Life can feel overwhelming when sadness, worry, or stress keep getting in the way of the life you want. I can help you find clarity, confidence, and balance again. Many of my clients are navigating relationship struggles, family conflict, or life transitions that leave them feeling stuck or uncertain. My approach is both collaborative and practical, combining evidence-based therapies like cognitive-behavioral therapy with genuine compassion and support. I'm committed to forming a meaningful relationship with every client in a warm and supportive environment where you can feel safe when addressing issues of concern.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, sometimes exciting, sometimes a little uncomfortable, and often both. My goal in our first session is help you feel safe, understood, and supported while we begin getting to know each other. The first session will be a place for you to share in your own words what brought you in to therapy. Some things we may explore include what you have been struggling with lately, how long this has been going on, and what you have already tried to cope. Other areas to explore include work, school, relationships, family, medical and previous mental health treatment- to help me understand your experience as a whole person. And finally, we will address your goals, hopes, or even worries about initiating therapy. You always get to set the pace and you will never have to share more than you feel ready for.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I aim to create an open, collaborative dialogue where clients feel heard and supported. My communication style is warm, patient, and non-judgmental. I listen closely to understand each client's unique perspective and provide guidance to help them gain insight and work toward their goals.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work with individuals navigating a wide range of concerns, offering a supportive, nonjudgmental space to explore whatever you're facing. Whether dealing with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, substance use, relationship challenges, life transitions, or seeking personal growth, we can work together toward greater clarity and well-being.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT is used in my practice to help notice and change patterns in thoughts, feelings, and behaviors so clients can feel better and function better in daily life. It's goal oriented, skills-based, and collaborative.
Motivational Interviewing
Motivational Interviewing is used to help explore a client's reasons for change, at their own pace, without pressure or judgement. I work with clients to strengthen their motivation, confidence, and readiness for changes that matter to them.
