I provide a supportive, collaborative space for individuals seeking meaningful and lasting change. I understand that starting therapy can feel overwhelming and I want to acknowledge the courage it takes to take that first step. My approach is grounded in empathy, authenticity, and respect, with a strong belief that each person has the capacity for growth when given the right environment and tools.
I take an integrative approach to treatment, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and person-centered principles. This allows me to tailor each session to your unique needs, balancing emotional support with practical strategies you can use in your daily life. Together, we will explore patterns in your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while identifying clear, achievable steps toward your goals and creating space to re-author personal narratives and foster lasting change.
I work well with both teens and adults who may be feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or stuck, particularly those navigating anxiety, depression, substance use, trauma, complex relationships, or major life transitions. Many of my clients are highly capable but struggling with burnout, boundary-setting, or feeling pulled in multiple directions. I also provide an affirming, inclusive, and judgment-free space for individuals within the LGBTQ community to explore identity, relationships, and life experiences safely and authentically.
My goal is to help you feel more in control, more aligned with your values, and better equipped to handle life’s challenges. Therapy with me is both a place to be understood and a place to grow. I welcome you to reach out for a consultation so we can explore how I can support you.
My name is Thomas Barhorst, and I started counseling in 2004. In addition to having a small private practice shortly after I received my Missouri license in 2007; I have worked as a K-12 school counselor, in substance use treatment, in a residential treatment setting, in a community mental health agency, helping individuals with disabilities transition into the workforce, and helping graduate students manage stress in their professional programs (i.e. medical school, dental school, etc.). Recently, I have begun providing telehealth therapy after obtaining licensure in Arizona and California.
Outside of work, spending time with family and friends is important to me. I also enjoy stories, laughing, listening to stand-up comedy, cooking, playing sports like wallyball and ultimate frisbee on a non-competitive level, watching film noir and psychological thrillers, recently had the opportunity to take my car to a racetrack, and have played bass guitar in a rock band.

Hi, I’m Nancy Rodriguez, a bilingual Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). I was born and raised in Southeast Los Angeles, and I bring both my personal and professional experience into the way I show up with clients.
I work with adults who are feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or emotionally stuck and are looking for a space to slow things down and understand what they’re going through. I know starting therapy can feel uncertain, and my goal is to make it feel more comfortable and human from the beginning.
Hi there :) Thanks for stopping by! I’m a Pakistani-Muslim therapist specializing in trauma, depression, anxiety, and PTSD, with a deep commitment to care that is culturally attuned, liberatory, and rooted in honoring your lived experience. I've worked with clients who have experienced a spectrum of challenges and have created a safe space to hold those unique challenges and experiences without judgement or shame.
In my practice, I commonly work with folks who identify as a woman, neurodivergent, LGBTQ+, Latinx and BIPOC.
My practice may be for you, if you have had the following experiences:
If Western medicine and psychotherapy has left you feeling lost or let down; If you have been harmed, personally, ancestrally, and historically, by systematic oppression and racism; If you are wanting to get in touch with more holistic, spiritual and/or culturally based approaches.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has worked in the mental health field for over 25 years. I have experience working with adults, children from ages 3-18, transitional age youth, families, and youth with behavioral health challenges. I have worked with those that have dealt with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, schizophrenia, ADHD, and personality disorders. I enjoy working with individuals, couples and families that are looking to increase their abilities to heal and grow. I generally utilize CBT, DBT, solution focused, trauma informed, and strength-based therapy, though everyone is unique, and we will work together to find the right therapeutic approach. I believe that each individual is the expert of their own life and I strive to provide a safe and affirming environment and a therapeutic relationship that supports others on their journeys.
I bring both clinical expertise and lived experience to my work. Having navigated significant life transitions myself, including divorce and co-parenting, I approach each client with genuine empathy and a grounded, realistic perspective. Reaching out takes courage, and I don't take that lightly.
I know that starting therapy can feel intimidating. That's why I offer every potential client a complimentary 30-minute consultation before we begin - an opportunity to get to know one another, ask anything on your mind, and determine together whether we're the right fit. There are no wrong questions and no pressure. To schedule a :30 minute no charge consultation please follow this link: https://tinyurl.com/No-Charge-Consultation
My style is warm and direct. Sessions are collaborative and active - we'll be working together toward something concrete. There is nothing more rewarding than watching a couple arrive on the other side of hard work with clarity and renewed intention, or witnessing an individual move from sadness and confusion to finding their footing and a version of themselves they feel good about.
I work exclusively via telehealth - and I believe that's a genuine advantage. There's real value in therapy that happens on your own terms. No traffic, no babysitter needed - show up as you are. It's not unusual for a little one to wander in, and those moments often give me a richer understanding of a client's world than any office could.
Outside the office I'm a mother, grandmother, and devoted companion to golden retrievers Whitney and Ginger. I'm closely connected to my 87-year-old parents, connected to communities in Marin County, North Lake Tahoe, and Bend, Oregon, and endlessly curious about the world. Licensed in California, Oregon, and Nevada.
If you're ready to take that first step, I'd love to hear from you.
Coming from a strong anatomical and physiological background, I decided to focus on therapeutic solutions. I started working with California state prisoners and then moved to foster care. I have worked with substance abuse and other community programs assisting individuals in finding their way financially, emotionally, and soberly. I enjoy using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) which I prefer doing in person but can also do it telehealth.
I’m a Latina therapist supporting high-functioning women navigating anxiety, burnout, and life transitions. Many of my clients are used to being the “strong one” for others while feeling overwhelmed internally. I create a warm, supportive space where you can slow down, feel understood, and reconnect with yourself. My approach blends evidence-based therapy with compassion, helping you build practical tools while creating deeper, lasting change.

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 10 years of experience supporting adolescents, young adults, and families. I began my work in community-based public mental health, serving underserved populations, and that foundation continues to shape how I show up today—with care, respect, and a real understanding of life’s complexities. My background includes working with severe mental illness, including schizophrenia spectrum disorders, bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, and complex trauma, so I’m comfortable supporting both early or emerging concerns and ongoing mental health conditions. I’ve worked extensively with low-income communities, immigrants, and individuals from diverse cultural and LGBTQIA+ backgrounds. I also have a strong background working with mothers, particularly single mothers, who are navigating their own mental health while supporting children or adult children with their own challenges. My approach is collaborative and strength-based—I focus on helping you build on what’s already working while developing practical tools you can use in your daily life. I aim to create a space that is calm, supportive, and nonjudgmental, where you can show up as you are, speak openly, and process what you’re going through while also building practical tools to better navigate everyday life.

Hello, and Thank You for reading my profile!
My name is Sharlene Hanaway. I have been a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for many years. During that time, I have worked with many clients who have been deeply challenged by their life circumstances and everyday issues. My name is Judy Jordan and I am a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist with over 20 years years of professional experience in counseling with children,, adults, and families. I took an evening course in Psychology 5 when starting school, and by the end of it , I knew I wanted to become a therapist. I was drawn to understanding people on a deeper level and helping them through their struggles. With support from my dad, I left my job and went back to school starting from scratch. I loved every minute of learning and felt more certain with each class that I was on the right path. My dedication paid off...I earned straight A's and received the Academic Achievement Award in Psychology. More importantly I found a sense of purpose in supporting others on their mental health journeys.
**Please note that I am a child and adolescent provider with a focus of treating trauma exposure and associated symptoms. I do not treat adults.**
I am a child and adolescent psychologist with over 16 years of experience in treatment of youth ages 7-18 who have experienced trauma, adverse experiences, and/or stressful or challenging life events. My focus is to help clients be their own agents of change to help them move forward, empower them to gain control over trauma reactions, and foster their resilience. I focus on evidence-based approaches to treat trauma, PTSD/complex PTSD, and associated symptoms, and adjust treatment according to the client's specific needs.
I treat trauma related symptoms and reactions stemming from a wide range of stressful events including physical or sexual abuse or assault; maltreatment or neglect; domestic or community violence; motor vehicle accidents; serious injuries; natural disasters; grief or loss; medical trauma and more.
Prior to private practice, I was a Clinical Associate Professor at Stanford where I directed the Stress and Resilience Clinic. I was part of the development team for Cue-Centered Therapy (CCT), an intervention combining cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) with an insight-based approach for youth with complex trauma. I provide teaching and training both nationally and internationally.
My goal as your therapist is to help you create a meaningful and enjoyable life. Hi there, I'm Christina. I am a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist that has been in practice for over 11 years. During our sessions, we'll work at your pace and where you are at emotionally. Creating a safe space filled with compassion and kindness is important to me, plus a mixture of mental health interventions. We'll set a goal and work towards achieving that goal.
Don't worry, we don't have to delve deep into your past if you are not ready. Sometimes there is the need to process what you are going through at the moment and have someone to be there and listen and that's okay too. We can start there.

Together, we’ll explore what’s been shaping your thoughts, emotions, and reactions, while building practical tools to help you feel more regulated, confident, and empowered in daily life.

She has worked extensively with patients suffering from physical, sexual, and emotional abuse trauma. Further, Dr. Charness has a wealth of experience with PTSD, depression, anxiety, suicidality, and self-harm. She incorporates many modalities in her sessions, including psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and somatic work. She effectively supports clients working through past trauma and finding resolve and peace within themselves, which is crucial to individual mental health and functionality. Inclusivity and remaining culturally sensitive to patients are of utmost importance to her.
Dr. Charness has also contributed to several books, including Voices of Pain, Voices of Hope, Students Speak About Racism, and Learning Through Discussion. Her most recent passion is her blog on Psychology Today (under law and crime) regarding the intersection of law and mental health. She focuses primarily on how legal rulings can impact our mental health, motive, trauma-informed interrogation, and investigation, particularly in domestic violence and sexual assault cases, and the failings of both the legal and mental health systems. Teaching about the realities of what life looks like inside the courtroom for a victim of domestic violence or rape, whether it be to a classroom of students or an audience of readers, is incredibly important to her.

Many people experience anxiety, depression, and many other emotional struggles. Often people feel there is no one they can trust and no one who can understand them. The impact of this emotional suffering can make daily life painful. It can put strain on relationships with family, friends, and peers. I specialize in working with people on an individual basis and have found that there are similar challenges that we all face while trying to navigate through our daily lives.
Hi, I’m Lainie, a licensed clinical social worker. You may notice that certain experiences continue to show up in your body, emotions, or reactions, even when you try to respond differently. This can affect how you handle stress, how close you feel to others, or how anxious you feel day to day.
I work with adults who feel worn down by these patterns and want to feel less burdened by past experiences of trauma. I’m trained in EMDR, a therapy that helps reduce how strongly the past shows up in the present, so it doesn’t keep shaping your reactions in the same ways. Rather than only talking through experiences, EMDR focuses on helping your mind and body respond differently, which can bring relief that feels more lasting.

I also incorporate using handouts and introduce materials as needed to help you in your progress is wanted or needed.
I have been a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for over 25 years. I also hold a Doctorate in Education, with a focus on change and leadership. In my work experience, I have seen a wide range of clients, but my specialties lie in substance abuse/addictions, and working with the Latino and LGBTQ communities. Currently working with only adults. No couples or families.
Hi, I’m Marvin West, a bilingual Spanish-speaking therapist with training in Expressive Arts. I believe therapy is a powerful tool for growth, healing, and self-discovery. You are the expert of your own experience, and my role is to meet you where you are—through the highs and the lows—offering guidance and support along the way. Let’s take this journey together to create a brighter, healthier future for you.
My work centers queer/trans, BIPOC, chronically ill or disabled, and other multiply marginalized clients navigating individual, interpersonal, and intergenerational trauma shaped by systemic violence and survival within inequitable conditions. I am deeply inspired by Black feminist sci-fi writer Octavia E. Butler, whose storytelling shaped my belief that healing is a practice of imagining and building ways of living beyond forces that dominate, dehumanize, and disconnect, such as white supremacy, patriarchy, and capitalism. My therapeutic approach is relational and depth-oriented, influenced by abolition and disability justice, which reject punitive mindsets, value every body, and attend to how systemic forces shape our internal worlds, relationships and sense of self.
I seek to support this work by gently uncovering coping strategies that were once necessary for survival but may no longer align with who you are becoming or how you want to relate to yourself and others. This approach resonates with people seeking honest self-reflection, emotional accountability, ongoing exploration and deeper self-understanding.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I am a client-centered therapist who values empowerment and highlighting an individual’s unique strengths. I have experience treating anxiety, depression, trauma, family systems, relational issues, disordered eating, and postpartum mood and anxiety disorders. I am inspired by the resiliency of those I work with and feel honored to be invited on a person’s journey for self-reflection and betterment.
I come with a background of various therapeutic methods as I believe treatment should be individualized. I have knowledge in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Integrated Play Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness interventions, and Motivational Interviewing.
I look forward to our work together as we develop a relationship full of trust and understanding and create a safe space to achieve insight and growth on your journey towards healing.

I’ve been working with individuals for nearly 20 years, and if there’s one thing I know for sure, it’s this: none of us are meant to do this alone.
Sitting one-on-one with someone as they untangle their story is work I don’t take lightly. It’s an honor. Over the years, I’ve supported people through burnout, transitions, grief, relationship shifts, identity questions, and those quieter seasons where you just know something needs to change, even if you can’t name it yet.
I also have advanced training in trauma and ADHD, which means I understand how deeply our nervous systems, past experiences, and unique wiring shape the way we move through the world. Whether you’re navigating the impact of trauma or trying to make sense of an ADHD brain in a world that doesn’t always accommodate it, we’ll approach your work with both compassion and practical insight.
Individual therapy is powerful. There is something sacred about having a space that is entirely yours — where you don’t have to perform, hold it together, or take care of anyone else. I also believe people need people and that is why I lead women's groups and retreats as well.
At the heart of my work is the belief that we’re all just trying to get home — home to ourselves. Home to steadiness, clarity, belonging, and alignment. My role is to walk alongside you as you reconnect with that place inside you that already knows the way.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience as a psychotherapist, complemented by my background as a veteran of the United States Armed Forces. My clinical training includes a Master’s in Social Work with a focus on Critical Race Theory and Intersectionality, which informs my understanding of how diverse life experiences shape individuals’ perspectives and interactions with their environments. This foundation allows me to approach therapy with cultural humility and a deep appreciation for the complexities of identity and systemic influences.
In my practice, I utilize a person-centered, solution-focused approach that prioritizes client autonomy and self-determination. I collaborate closely with clients to identify their unique challenges and barriers, empowering them to develop realistic and meaningful short-term and long-term goals. Together, we explore and optimize the therapeutic tools that clients have already been using, while considering the introduction of additional strategies when appropriate. My goal is to support clients in creating actionable plans that align with their values and aspirations, fostering resilience and sustainable growth in both their present lives and future endeavors.

You don’t have to process things alone it is an honor to walk along side you and help to "digest" your experience and gain clarity in your situation.
I wholeheartedly believe it’s my role as a therapist to assist you in realizing, accessing and cultivating the internal and external resources that you already possess. Stress, conflict, and pain are those given aspects of life. I'll support you in healing, reconnecting and making empowering choices to achieve peace and feel more joy on a daily basis. Together, we will create a safe space for vulnerability and strength; both are needed for change. Our sessions will allow you to move through stuck points in your mind, relationships and environment. My approach is empathic, direct, emotionally supportive and solutions focused.
Do you feel like something inside is broken? Do you feel less-than-whole emotionally, physically or in relationships and want to learn to put the pieces together to create your optimal life? Do you feel like your own worst enemy, tearing yourself down with negative self-talk?
This is where I come in. Working together as your guide, I help you learn the skills, insights and strategies so that when future situations arrive, you will learn to trust yourself to confront challenges mindfully and compassionately.
I received my Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California and have worked with a range of clients from those with acute crises to those who want a mental health accountability partner to check in with. I’m a holistic psychotherapist who takes the time to make sure you are on the best path to healing. I approach the practice of therapy as a mutual relationship, one that is based on integrity and trust. I conduct each session with a calm, empathetic and attuned presence. My goal is to provide a safe container for you to fully experience all parts of yourself and to foster your personal growth.
I’m a Licensed Psychologist and owner/founder of iPsychological. I use a practical blend of CBT and depth work. We work toward immediate symptom relief while digging deeper to understand to stop the issues at the source. We work together to implement tools for healing and growth. My style is collaborative, direct, and steady, with space for humor when it helps and depth when it matters.
