As of 1/7/2025 only accepting individual clients for new referrals! My passion is working with children, teenagers, young adults, couples and families to process trauma and difficult experiences so they can experience growth and healing within themselves and their relationships. Through my work with individuals and family's I have learned the deep importance of understanding "what has happened" to people rather than viewing people through the lens of "what is wrong with people". Likewise, the importance of understanding one's family of origin and how this shapes our views of people and the world and impacts how we relate with people and navigate our world. I work from a relational, psychodynamic, family-systems, trauma-informed, and neurobiological perspective. Feel free to reach out for more information!

I'm a marriage and family therapist who believes that healing happens in relationship—with others and with ourselves. I'm also trained to support those experiencing suicidal ideation, ADHD, and PTSD. My approach is collaborative and strengths-based, drawing on Family Systems theory, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and trauma-focused techniques. Whether you're working through individual struggles or family dynamics, I'm here to help you build resilience and reconnect with what matters most. I’m Jeff. I know that there are so many misguided beliefs about therapy that it can seem too overwhelming to give it a try. However, as your therapist, it’s my job to coach you through the discomfort and encourage you to make insights into lasting change. Therapy doesn’t have to be a complete upheaval process or drastic edit to your identity. I work with my clients by empowering them to hone in on their strengths and believe in their desired outcomes. With small, thoughtful reflections and inspired actions, we can improve your life exponentially.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (PA & WV) with 10 years of experience in outpatient mental health. I specialize in supporting individuals — both adolescents and adults — navigating the aftermath of trauma, loss, adoption/foster care challenges, grief, anxiety, and depression. With children and teens, I am certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF‑CBT), integrating trauma‑informed strategies tailored to younger clients. With adults, I use trauma-informed interventions alongside cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), adapting my approach to each person’s unique story, strengths, and pace. Being adopted myself has deeply shaped my passion for adoption and foster care work — not just as a professional interest, but from lived experience. I understand the layers of identity, connection, loss, and belonging that come with these journeys, and I bring that insight to my practice with empathy and sensitivity. I also maintain ongoing training in areas such as grief work, anxiety, depression, and relational dynamics to ensure I’m bringing current practices to our work.

I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 25 years of experience working with children and adults. I have primarily worked within school systems as an on-site therapist; as well as in my own private practice. I work with people who have a variety of concerns, including: trauma, attachment, grief and loss, divorce, school problems, anxiety and depression, life-phase transitions, and family conflicts. I value an eclectic and prescriptive therapeutic model, and am skilled at shifting gears when the need arises. My specialty is working with children 2 to 12. As a registered play therapist/supervisor, I understand the language that children routinely use to communicate: play. Through play therapy, children can explore new roles, act out challenging situations, and re-work beliefs about themselves and others. In parent-child play therapy (with younger children), we work together to build secure and safe connections, practice new ways of communicating, and foster JOY in your interactions. In addition to play therapy, I have trained extensively in EMDR (for children and adults), Jungian sandtray, the Oaklander Model of Gestalt Play therapy, Mindfulness, and Theraplay. Every one of these modalities is meant to foster relationships built on safety, warmth, security, and trust. My work with adult clients can be described as "going deep." I especially enjoy working with adult women going through life transitions (career, family, spiritual). In addition, I am interested in working with other therapists who experience clinical burnout. In my life outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my family, crocheting, reading, yoga, walking, petting my cats, and spending time in nature.

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with 18 years of experience supporting children, teens, adults, and older adults. I’ve worked in a wide range of mental health settings—including inpatient and outpatient programs, schools, juvenile detention, family-based services, universities, prisons, and private practice—which has given me a deep understanding of how mental health needs evolve across the lifespan. After seeing how limited access to care was in rural Pennsylvania, I became an early advocate for telemental health. Today, I offer both virtual and in-person counseling, giving clients the flexibility to choose what feels most comfortable and accessible for them. Starting my own practice during the pandemic allowed me to create a healthier work-life balance while dedicating my full attention to providing compassionate, high-quality care. Hello! I have always enjoyed helping others for as long as I can remember as early as age 9. I love to see their responses in the learning process. I have experienced trauma, witnessed violence, anxiety, have been in an unhealthy alcoholic relationship and have been a sensitive being my entire life not understanding why. My saving Grace has always been movement. I loved the way it made me feel-free and calm, and movement has always been part of my life even during 4 pregnancies and keeping up with my 4 children, and now my grandchildren. Over time, I was introduced to mindfulness, stress reduction and relaxation (which I didn’t realized how much I needed) and Yoga. This allowed me to calm my mind and focus. My career goal was Physical Education teaching and when I graduated (after have 4 children), teacher jobs were scarce. I was introduced to Behavioral Health and here I am now, 25 years later.

I earned my Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and have been working in the mental health field since 2014. Most of my career has been in Intensive Behavioral Health Services (formerly BHRS), where I served as a therapeutic staff support (TSS), mobile therapist, and behavioral specialist. I worked primarily with children ages 2–16, much of that time in elementary school settings. My work focused on supporting children on the autism spectrum, as well as those with ADHD and mood disorders, while collaborating closely with parents and teachers. I also have experience as an in‑house school therapist, again working with elementary‑aged students and their parents. Although my background is rooted in child and family work, I have also supported adults through IBHS and outpatient settings. Throughout my career, I’ve spent meaningful time counseling families and partnering with educators, giving me a well‑rounded understanding of the challenges parents and teachers face.

I am a therapist dedicated to helping individuals and families create meaningful, lasting change—especially during some of the most challenging and complex moments in their lives. My work is rooted in the belief that behavior makes sense when we understand the experiences behind it, and that real progress comes from addressing both the “why” and the “how” of change. I specialize in working with adolescents, young adults, and families who are navigating trauma, behavioral concerns, and system involvement. Many of the clients I serve have experienced disruptions in attachment, high-stress environments, or significant life events that continue to impact their relationships, emotional well-being, and decision-making. My approach is structured, active, and grounded in evidence-based practices, including attachment-based therapy, trauma-informed care, EMDR, and DBT. I focus on helping clients build insight into their patterns while also developing practical skills they can use in everyday life. I believe therapy should not only be a place to process experiences, but also a space to build tools, accountability, and confidence. I work to create a therapeutic environment that is consistent, supportive, and honest. I balance compassion with clear expectations, helping clients feel understood while also challenging them to grow. Whether I am working with an individual or an entire family system, my goal is to strengthen relationships, improve emotional regulation, and support long-term stability. At Velocity Counseling, the focus is on forward movement—helping clients move beyond survival mode and toward a more stable, connected, and purposeful life.

I'm Morgan! I am passionate about supporting children, adolescents, and young adults (as well as their families) as they navigate life's uncertainties. Throughout my career, I have worked with foster care placements (including biological and foster family units), school based therapy settings, outpatient settings, and telehealth platforms. These experiences have shaped my understanding of the importance of meeting client's where they are and tailor therapy to their unique strengths and needs. I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh (H2P!!) and completed my graduate studies at Duquesne University. Outside of work, I am also a parent, which has further shaped my understanding of challenges that families and young people face. When I'm not working I am spending time with my family and my Rottweiler, named Nova.

I go by "Zippy." As a Behavioral Health Consultant, I am dedicated to providing culturally grounded and trauma-informed care to individuals and families facing complex life challenges. Born and raised in Kenya, I bring a unique perspective shaped by experiences in both Kenya and the United States, allowing me to bridge cultural gaps in mental health services. I believe mental health care must honor the cultural identities and lived experiences of those we serve, as these elements are pivotal in shaping one’s mental well-being. With over a decade of experience across child and adult mental health, community-based social work, and integrated behavioral health within a Federally Qualified Health Center, I empower clients facing trauma, intimate partner violence, migration stress, and socioeconomic barriers, showcasing the resilience of the human spirit. As a bilingual English/Swahili clinician and certified medical interpreter, I've worked closely with refugee and immigrant families from Sub-Saharan Africa, recognizing the impact of language and cultural familiarity in therapy. My experiences with pregnant women, survivors of sexual assault, and individuals under acute psychosocial stress reinforce my commitment to relationally focused, culturally attuned care. I actively engage in community leadership, having served on Millersville University’s School of Social Work advisory board and volunteering with Grape Leaf Empowerment Center. Currently, I am pursuing a doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy to enhance my ability to address complex relational dynamics affecting mental health. My goal is to become a systemic therapist integrating cultural context and evidence-based practices, promoting a model of care that is compassionate, culturally responsive, and honors the diverse narratives that shape healing as a shared journey.
