It is a pleasure and privilege to be invited into someone’s life journey. I am very passionate and dedicated in honoring one’s personal story. Whether you are facing a challenging and stressful time, facing a traumatic experience, an unexpected change, managing stress and anxiety, or need to make change, we can work together to make life’s transitions smoother and more rewarding. I have worked in mental health for 15 years, hold a doctorate in Education Leadership and Management, and a second Masters in Special Education. I have been practicing in mental heath for 15 years and have worked with a wide range of clients.
Our first session is all about getting to know one another. I need to get to know you as much as you need to get to know me. A strong foundation in practice is extremely important to creating a working relationship, meeting you where you are, which valuable in growth and therapeutic process. Your sessions are about you and your goals and allowing you to feel comfortable going at your own speed while also setting goals for therapy is extremely valuable.
My approach is grounded in trauma informed care, using evidence based and strengths-based practices, while utilizing your inherent skills and strengths to manage increased anxiety and stress while fostering progress and resiliency. My practice supports trauma, anxiety, stress management, adolescent life transitions and struggles, school and sports management and struggles, parent-adolescent relationships, finding balance through life transitions, depression, behavior management, attachment based family therapy, and managing life changes and unforeseen challenges.
I have experience in serving clients from 6-65 with a wide range challenges. I work toward meeting a client where they are while also setting goals and working through any life struggles a client is facing and moving toward a solution and reaching individual goals.
