New to Grow
I'm Morgan! I am passionate about supporting children, adolescents, and young adults (as well as their families) as they navigate life's uncertainties. Throughout my career, I have worked with foster care placements (including biological and foster family units), school based therapy settings, outpatient settings, and telehealth platforms. These experiences have shaped my understanding of the importance of meeting client's where they are and tailor therapy to their unique strengths and needs. I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh (H2P!!) and completed my graduate studies at Duquesne University. Outside of work, I am also a parent, which has further shaped my understanding of challenges that families and young people face. When I'm not working I am spending time with my family and my Rottweiler, named Nova.
Our first session together would be very laid back and focused on getting to know you and your expectations of our time together. Starting therapy can be intimidating; therefore, my goal is to create a comfortable, low-pressure environment where you feel heard and supported. We'll spend time talking about what brings you to therapy and what you're hoping to gain from the process.
What stands out most about my approach is the focus on creating a therapy space that feels approachable, collaborative and genuine. I utilize my experiences from past jobs and real life situations to create flexibility and understand that there is not a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy.
My ideal client is a transition-age adolescent or young adult navigating the challenges that come with periods of change, increased independence, and uncertainty. I enjoy working with individuals experiencing anxiety, stress, difficulty adjusting to life transitions no matter which stage of life. I enjoy helping clients build practical coping skills, increase confidence and develop tools to better manage anxiety while creating a safe space that feels approachable, collaborative, and supportive.
