New to Grow
Hi, I'm Ande, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over seven years of experience helping children, teens, and women navigate life's challenges with confidence and resilience. I believe that everyone deserves a safe, supportive space where they can feel heard, understood, and accepted without judgment. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, stress, self-esteem, depression, emotional regulation, or a major life transition, my goal is to help you better understand yourself, build healthy coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change. I recognize that reaching out for therapy can feel overwhelming, and I strive to make the process as comfortable and collaborative as possible. My approach is warm, person-centered, and tailored to your unique needs. I draw from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, mindfulness, and strengths-based interventions to help you reach your goals while building on the strengths you already have. I work with children, adolescents, and women facing a variety of concerns, including school-related stress, peer relationships, anxiety, self-esteem, life transitions, and everyday challenges. I also enjoy partnering with parents to provide guidance and support as they help their children navigate difficult seasons. Together, we'll create a plan that feels realistic, empowering, and meaningful to you. My hope is that you'll leave each session feeling supported, encouraged, and equipped with practical tools to help you move forward with confidence. I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey toward healing and growth.
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a strong therapeutic relationship. My goal is to create a welcoming, supportive space where you feel comfortable sharing your story at your own pace. During this session, we'll discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, your current concerns, and any challenges or symptoms you've been experiencing. We'll also review your personal history, including important life experiences, relationships, family background, and any previous counseling or mental health treatment that may help provide a better understanding of your unique situation. We'll talk about what you hope to gain from therapy and begin identifying goals that are meaningful to you. If you've completed any intake paperwork or assessments beforehand, we'll review those together and discuss how they relate to your current concerns. By the end of the session, we'll begin developing an individualized treatment plan tailored to your needs, strengths, and goals. We'll also discuss what future sessions may look like, answer any questions you have, and ensure you feel comfortable moving forward. Above all, there's no pressure to have everything figured out before your first appointment. My role is to meet you where you are, support you through the process, and work alongside you as we begin your journey toward healing and growth.
I believe that therapy is most effective when you feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported. My approach is warm, collaborative, and personalized because I recognize that every person has a unique story, strengths, and challenges. I strive to create a safe, judgment-free environment where you can be yourself, explore difficult emotions, and feel supported as we work toward meaningful change. While I offer compassion and encouragement, I also believe that growth sometimes requires us to gently examine and challenge the thoughts, beliefs, and patterns that may be keeping us stuck. Together, we'll identify unhelpful thought patterns, develop healthier perspectives, and build practical skills that you can confidently apply in your everyday life. My goal is to help you not only feel better but also create lasting, meaningful change. My own experiences navigating life's challenges have deeply influenced the therapist I am today. They have strengthened my empathy, reinforced the importance of resilience, and shaped my belief that healing and growth are possible—even during life's most difficult seasons. Because of this, I approach every client with genuine compassion, hope, and the understanding that meaningful change takes time, courage, and support. I view therapy as a partnership. We'll celebrate progress, work through setbacks together, and move at a pace that feels right for you while keeping your goals at the center of our work. Whether you're navigating anxiety, stress, self-esteem concerns, or a major life transition, my hope is that you'll leave each session feeling supported, challenged in healthy ways, and empowered with practical tools to continue growing long after our sessions end.
My ideal clients are children, teens, and women who are ready to better understand themselves, develop healthier coping skills, and create meaningful change in their lives. They may be experiencing anxiety, stress, self-esteem concerns, depression, emotional regulation difficulties, or navigating life transitions, school challenges, relationship concerns, or feelings of being overwhelmed. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling stuck, exhausted, or unsure of where to begin. They don't need to have everything figured out—they simply need a willingness to take the first step and an openness to exploring new perspectives. I work best with individuals who are ready to actively participate in the therapeutic process, even if progress feels slow or uncomfortable at times. I value building a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust, collaboration, and mutual respect. My clients appreciate having a therapist who offers compassion and validation while also gently challenging unhelpful thought patterns and encouraging personal growth. Together, we'll identify your strengths, work through obstacles, and develop practical tools that support lasting change. If you're looking for a supportive, judgment-free space where you can feel heard, challenged in healthy ways, and empowered to move toward your goals, I'd be honored to walk alongside you on your journey.
Attachment-Based Therapy explores how early relationships and life experiences may influence the way you view yourself, connect with others, and respond to challenges. Together, we'll identify patterns in relationships, strengthen your sense of security, and build healthier, more fulfilling connections while fostering healing and emotional growth.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps us identify the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we'll recognize unhelpful thought patterns, challenge beliefs that may be keeping you stuck, and develop healthier ways of thinking and coping. My goal is to help you build practical skills that create lasting change both in and outside of therapy.
Humanistic/Person-Centered Therapy focuses on creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard, understood, and accepted. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and together we'll build on your strengths, explore your experiences, and work toward meaningful personal growth at a pace that feels right for you.
Psychodynamic Therapy focuses on understanding how your past experiences and relationships have shaped who you are today. Together, we'll explore recurring patterns, increase self-awareness, and gain insight that can help you build healthier relationships and create meaningful, lasting change.
