Have you been wondering if your current challenges are due to past traumatic life events? Do you struggle in relationships? If so, I may be the Therapist for you. I specialize in trauma therapy for teenagers and adults. Many people often think trauma is only caused by violent crimes, acts of physical abuse, or natural disasters. They may also think because trauma happened a long time ago, it does not affect them in the present. These are a few of the myths about trauma. There are many types of traumas such as the sudden or unexpected death of a loved one, bullying, retaliation in the workplace, neglect from parents, infidelity, intimate partner violence, the witnessing of domestic violence and more. If you or your teen is struggling with anxiety, depression, or life stressors, therapy with me can help with positive changes to strengthen self-esteem and confidence. I am trained in EMDR and other trauma therapy approaches. My years of professional experience as a teacher and counselor, along with my lived experiences as a Black person allow me to provide empathetic regard while helping clients from multicultural backgrounds.

With over 15 years of experience in the mental health field, I am passionate about supporting adults and couples as they navigate life’s transitions and pursue meaningful growth. Whether you are a college student or recent graduate adjusting to a new season of life, an individual facing anxiety or depression, or a couple preparing for marriage or working to strengthen your relationship, I strive to provide guidance that feels both supportive and practical. My Christian faith shapes my personal values; however, I work with people from all backgrounds and beliefs. Faith-based perspectives are incorporated into counseling only if a client specifically desires it. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where you feel heard, understood, and supported. Life transitions—whether expected or unexpected—can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate them alone. Together, we can explore the challenges you are facing and work toward the emotional and personal goals that matter most to you. I have experience working with adults experiencing life changes, including college and post-college transitions, relationship challenges, marriage and premarital preparation, and parenting. I also support individuals navigating anxiety, depression, and stress that often accompany these seasons of change. My background as a behavioral specialist in community mental health allows me to effectively support adults diagnosed with ADHD or autism spectrum disorder, as well as parents raising children with these diagnoses. In my work with couples, I draw from my experience as a trained Prepare/Enrich facilitator to help partners strengthen communication, navigate conflict, and build healthier, more connected relationships. When working with individuals, I primarily use a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach to address concerns such as anxiety, depression, and life transitions. My focus is on equipping you with practical tools and strategies so you can move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and resilience.

Being a therapist has seemed like a natural progression for me. I have always been able to easily relate to others and meet them where they are. I have taken my own struggles and used them to help make myself stronger and be able to gain insight into how to help others who may be struggling. I think anyone can benefit through the self-exploration that comes with therapy. I find it rewarding to see the progress people are capable of and to help them see the progress themselves. I have many years of experience working with children and families as well as adults and couples. I have worked with individuals and families with children as young as 3 with a variety of concerns. I am a trauma-informed therapist who is trained in Prolonged Exposure Therapy to treat PTSD symptoms. I am trained in different approaches. I have experiencing with LGBTQIA individuals. I also use TTRPG's in therapy setting. I’m Cindy, a psychotherapist who believes that meaningful change begins with understanding ourselves. I work with individuals struggling with addiction and its impact on loved ones, depression, self-esteem, relationship difficulties, and those navigating life’s transitions or searching for a greater sense of meaning and purpose. Sometimes we repeat patterns that no longer serve us, carrying negative beliefs about ourselves without fully understanding where they came from. Together, we can explore those patterns, uncover their origins, and begin to see ourselves and our lives differently. My approach is warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental. I believe that feeling safe enough to be honest about who we are, including the parts we’d rather hide, is essential to healing. You don’t have to have everything figured out or know where to begin. Whether you’re navigating a major life transition, recovering from painful experiences, or simply feeling stuck, my goal is to help you develop greater self-awareness, discover new possibilities, and build a life you no longer feel the need to escape from.

Hi! I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Pennsylvania. I received my master’s degree in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling from Messiah University. I began my counseling career in 2018 as an addictions counselor, where I gained valuable experience supporting individuals through a variety of challenges. After graduating with my master’s degree in 2021, I transitioned to working with individuals, couples, and families. I work with clients who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship or family challenges, life transitions, and other stressors. My goal is to provide a supportive, non-judgmental space where you can feel heard and understood while exploring the challenges you are facing. It is my honor to help you gain a deeper understanding of yourself and your relationships, develop healthy coping skills, and work toward a healthier, more fulfilling life.

Hi, I’m Erica, a therapist in the Philadelphia area who believes healing is rarely neat, linear, or Instagram-perfect. My approach blends evidence-based tools with an honest appreciation for how complicated, funny, painful, and beautiful being human can be. My approach combines evidence based tools with curiosity, compassion, humor, and a genuine interest in understanding what makes you, well, you. I work with people who want to understand themselves better, break patterns that are no longer serving them, work through difficult experiences, or simply feel a little more comfortable in their own lives. I want therapy to feel like a place where you can be honest. You don’t have to have the right words, know exactly what you need, or come in with everything figured out. You can show up messy, overwhelmed, frustrated, guarded, or completely unsure of where to start. We can figure it out together. As someone who lives with a disability, I also know that resilience is a word that gets thrown around pretty casually. I understand what it means to build a life around limitations you didn’t choose while still wanting a life that feels full, meaningful, and genuinely yours. I bring that lived experience into my work, not because I think it means I understand everyone’s experience, but because I know what it feels like to keep going when things are heavy. At the end of the day, I’m a therapist, but I’m also a real person. I won’t pretend to have all the answers or expect you to have yours. My job is to meet you where you are, help you understand what’s happening underneath the surface, and give you some tools to make things feel a little more manageable.

I really enjoy talking about life in general and I hope to bring that to the therapy. I look at sessions like a conversation about psychology while providing structure to achieve goals. I hope that makes it interesting while remaining focused on you as an individual. I think life is very much about learning new things. This philosophy supports being a person who needs to learn and grow.
