About me

Since I was 17, I’d always wanted to be a therapist. I learned that sometimes it takes more than just healing the mind in order to heal the whole person. That means that sometimes people need healing on emotional, psychological and spiritual levels. I then received two masters degrees, one in mental health counseling, and the other in the applied healing arts. Utilizing both these degrees has helped me to combine both traditional and alternative therapies into my work.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In the first session, a client is going to be asked a number of questions so that I can get to know them better. However, I will also be working on wanting to build a positive therapeutic relationship. So I am willing to listen to as much as the client would like to share, and not stick to a script in order to create a feeling of comfortability on the part of the client. I am a very solution focused, but person centered therapist.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I am a good listener, studying what people say, how they say it, and how it shows up in their bodies. I’m very analytical, but personable. I show a combination of empathy and compassion towards clients and strive never to be judgmental.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Over the years, I have worked best with clients who come in with addiction issues, self esteem struggles, anxiety, and depression, ADHD, anger issues, PTSD and personality disorders. I work well with both children and adults. Most of the children that I work with range from ages eight through adolescence.
