Hi! I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania. I received my Master's degree at Malone University in 2015. I have worked in community mental health, inpatient hospitals, and private practice. I help both young and older adults who want to learn more about their mental health and develop coping skills. I love watching individuals be able to become the best versions of themselves. When I'm not in the office I enjoy being outside, fostering animals, and making delicious homemade foods.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session is dedicated to learning more about you and the therapy process. I'll give you time to tell me more about your history and current concerns. I'll make sure to explain how therapy works and all intake forms. After that, we will dive into the more challenging concerns that are bringing you to therapy. This helps us to work together on developing a tailored plan for your therapy goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Over the years, I have gained a wide variety of experience in working with various populations and mental health concerns. I love learning more about the individuals I'm working with as I feel it helps to strengthen rapport. I work hard to provide empathy, humor, psycho-education, and safe places for individuals to learn and challenge themselves in order to achieve personal growth.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I enjoy working with both young and older adults who are eager to learn new coping skills, but do not yet have the tools to make this a reality. The individuals I work with are awesome individuals who already have great strengths. This is where therapy comes in. Therapy can help individuals to help recognize these strengths and utilize them to their full advantage.

My treatment methods

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I enjoy using DBT to help individuals recognize that we can both honor an emotion, and that the intensity of our emotions can often be the source of discomfort. This can help us learn more about our reactions to situations/people and help us to validate our feelings.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I find that CBT can be a helpful tool in addressing the connection between our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

Child Parent Psychotherapy

I am trained in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy. This helps both caretakers and children learn boundary setting and communication skills through play therapy.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing is great for anyone looking to move forward with goals and make difficult changes in their life.
