I don't believe in a 'cookie cutter' approach to treatment as everyone is unique. I believe in meeting a person where they are at in life. I have been a practicing clinician for over 10 years and have worked in a variety of settings. This has allowed me to develop a unique skillset and insight into a variety of different issues an individual is experiencing.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master's in Counseling Psychology from Chestnut Hill College and 30 years of experience across diverse settings. My preferred therapeutic approaches include Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I am open-minded and respectful, believing that everyone is doing their best within their unique circumstances. I strive to create a safe and supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to navigate life's challenges.

I received my Bachelors degree in Child Psychology, working initially with the adolescent population before transitioning over to adults. I then received my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy. I am a veteran of the helping professions, having served since 1982 in some capacity or another, and I still find excitement in the possibility of helping those who need such assistance. I am currently licensed in two states, both North Carolina and Pennsylvania. I find many people respond to my ability to simply listen and that shows that they do not often feel they have been heard and sometimes this is all that is necessary to start the journey to begin healing. Certainly more is often required, and helping people connect with effective treatments whether provided by myself or not is the best help that can be given.
